Thoughts on losing light levels and going to 20?
I know some of you arent smart enough to have spotted this implication, but basically, light levels are being done away with, and normal leveling will resume, this means, you will lose that 34, and start again at twenty when the new dlc releases.
So whats your reaction to that, and the fact all that hard work for gear to level up islost?
Im suspecting that is your face above considering you just figured it out.

Well I remember how crappy the light leveling was when we only had the vault. In fact, even though i have done the vault a whole bunch of times I barely got the arm pieces for the first time like a month ago when i started playing the game again. I had to use the IB to make it to 30. It was always a huge risk taking the relic at 29. Rng based levelng isn't very good is what I'm trying to say. And though its not 100% rng leveling now, it still doesn't feel as rewarding in my opinion.

Based on your account stats, levels and grimoire I wouldn't consider you an expert on the subject.

I don't care what people say. I'm betting that we will be level 20 on day one of the TTK. The new kinderguardians will be able to use a consumable to reach level 20 ( skipping all of year one) and jump right into the TTK story line ( that starts at level 21) I'm betting that we will all be level 20 and the TTK story line starts at level 21. All new kinderguardians will have a consumable to get them to level 20. If u r a level 34 now u will be a level 20 with 1782 defense and 365 weapons which is how they will use the light level, a combination of defense and attack. You will need to grind from 20 to 40 and the new raid doesn't come out until the fall They will also be lowering the levels all of year one PVE events mission strikes raids whatever else. Deej answer about leveling was not a YES or a NO. He later when on to say that with the consumable new guardians will be able to start playing the TTK story line. That to most means they will be able to skip all year in content and be level 20 on day one of the TTK. Which it most mean the TTK story line will start at level 21;-).

No one is starting again at twenty. We're already twenty. The level cap is going up to 40.

12 RepliesDropping everyone that's currently at a high level back to lvl20 would mean we couldn't even run VoG or Crota, do Nightfalls, weekly strikes etc... so I think that's just not going to happen. Seriously, how annoyed would a lot of their customers be to have their level 34s equalised with other peoples lvl20s. I'm sure our levels will stay as they are. There will be a big xp grind to get to 40 and then new light levels to build up based on weapons, armour and probably class items as well.

If true, that's ok with me. A more efficient, fair and less confusing leveling system is strongly welcome even if that means returning to level 20. After all, it's just a game.
