Thoughts on losing light levels and going to 20?
I know some of you arent smart enough to have spotted this implication, but basically, light levels are being done away with, and normal leveling will resume, this means, you will lose that 34, and start again at twenty when the new dlc releases.
So whats your reaction to that, and the fact all that hard work for gear to level up islost?
Im suspecting that is your face above considering you just figured it out.

We will stay at our current level though so if your a 34 you will only have to rank up 6 more times

Honestly even if that's the case I have no problem no lifeing it and 40ing all my characters before the next reset. But the recent batch of gameinformer videos have shown characters at 34 and 35, which has me thinking that I'll be keeping my level. It is all speculation however

Never heard that confirmed. Deej and Bungie have been pretty light on the details. Honestly I would rather start back at 20 and have more room to grow and enjoy progressing through the new content...but they said light still matters and has a rating for your attack and defense

4 RepliesI'm not sure they will drop us to 20 (it would make sense logically since it's the current XP cap), but I hope that we aren't 34 when it starts. If we are, no way is the content in TTK going to be anywhere near enough to carry this game another year of grinding and I cannot fathom running the vanilla content for another full year. TTK will likely be Sept filler until the big, full title AAA games start dropping.

RNGESUS now had 4 children his favorite would always be SmoggyPluto nicknamed smoggy by the boys being now sons of RNGESUS they aged quickly and became guardians smoggy became a God in the eyes of the guardians while Nike was king of PvP and Adidas was king of PvE and Jordans was pretty normal although he taught other sunsingers the song of flame and told them nipple ripping was forbidden unless in trials. As time went on they began signing off everything because every time they did so a new child would appear at the door of RNGESUS causing all other greats to descend from them. They gained many followers although it is a rumor amongst non-followers that they plan to use their followers and children to take over the forums with help from SmoggyPluto and destroy all mean and hateful posts along with people of the recruitment section who require a max gally. To be honest for the likes of me its a bit of a disaster. Due to me working away from home I could target the things that would boost my level as my play time is limited. I could get to max level in 4/weeks if I was lucky. I doubt that will happen now and will exclude me from raids etc.

The new light level will be based on the defense stat on your armor and attack stats on your weapons... but Im fine with it... theyre taking alot of the randomness out of the game

Edited by Rick: 8/10/2015 7:45:29 PMYou'll be "the level you have obtained" which is 20. Since gear no longer affects your level, you will be level 20 player level. If you're wearing 42 light gear, your power level will be the same as it is now when you are 34. You aren't losing anything. Activities will now have recommended Light amounts, not player level. So level 35 PoE will have a recommended Light of 168, not recommended level 34.
