I don't know about other warlocks, but if I'm not doing end game content then I'm going to be running as a void walker anyways and if I am doing endgame content it seems pretty obvious to me that fire born is way more useful than an extra couple of grenades. I could see how it would be more useful to run this way in pvp, I've never understood why warlocks have self res on in pvp, it makes no sense. Ok I can see how it might help for trials to be able to self res but for normal crucible, you should be using your super to maximum effect, choosing where and when you pop super is a big part of that, if you're waiting until someone has killed you to pop your super? Well let's just say that doesn't seem optimal to me.

  • Ive always thought the same exact thing. If you are going to use sunsinger in pvp then use your super to get more kills safely or to block entry to a position. Not right after you have been melted by two other people. So many times i have killed a warlock, they rez and i kill them again.

  • lol I've done this as well. Or my favourite is people using up an exotic slot for their gallahorn in pvp. It's a -blam!-ing rocket launcher, you're going to kill people with it in one shot anyway... Besides, Truth is much better for pvp.

  • Totally. With the rolls you can achieve on a radegast or an ash factory my truth is becoming more and more useless for me as well(dont like the aggressive tracking). I even find myself rocking three legendaries when im not using an exotic primary(gotta love Hopscotch)

  • I've been enjoying red death in pvp. I've been having trouble with hand canons (hawkmoon and Thorn) mostly because I'll sort of accidentally hold down run, while looking down the sights, so it pulls me out of looking down the gun, making me vulnerable as I have to line up the sight again. I swear there's some sort of difference in pve vs pvp, but I think it's just cause in pve I'm not running as much, so not sure. I think it's just a matter of practicing using the controls properly without pushing down for run. I had been gone for 9 months though...
