Right I was confused why we were fighting him. I read the strikes will have a story so maybe we go to help him but he tries to kill us?

Well, since speculation is free, I can envision a scenario where (since he is Hive after all) we'll have to kill him, but in the end; as he's dying, he gives us a weapon that will help in the fight against Oryx... out of respect/recognition of our skill in being able to kill him. Now, do I believe it [u]will[/u] happen that way? No, but that's okay.
