So I hardly ever read the weekly updates or news that Bungie posts every week, because usually they are filled with a bunch of useless reading and information that I just don't care about.
So naturally, I don't know much about the content and pricing of the new expansion coming out other than what I've heard others talk about. And I'm a little discouraged by it.
This is what I've heard:
The new DLC will cost us $40, but that does not include the apparent weapon packs they are also releasing, which is supposed to be an additional $20 if you want them. Which brings year one players to a grand total of $60 bucks to get one DLC.
Now for those that do not have the game, I've heard they can get the game, both TDB and HoW, the TK AND the weapon packs for for a cheaper price than what we originally paid.
I'm really not concerned with the latter as much as the former. Why they think it's ok to charge me $40 for a damn DLC of all things, and then an additional $20 for some weapons, shaders and emblems is downright baffling and disturbing. And for the most part you guys seem ok with this.
So tell me which parts of what I've heard is true and which isn't, and I'd be grateful. Cheers!

For the first part, pre-ordering TTK will net you early release of the weapon packs (the weapon packs become available to everyone on 1/1/16). It's the SHADER, EMOTE and CLASS ITEM bundle that requires and extra $20. For the second part, yes, those who don't have the game will be able to buy the legendary bundle (vanilla game, both DLCs and TTK) for $60.
