Traditionally in games set up this way, it means that those raids are no longer useful and the only reason toplay them is collectors looking for things to vault, or to break up the monotony and go on a blast from the past. Wow for example is littered with a decades worth of raids, last i played damn near all except 2 were useless. If your not used to the idea of zones becoming useless that you loved, you will. Its the nature of the beast.

As if it's not hard enough trying to get a Raid group together with no optional matchmaking, if they make the Raid gear obsolete, no veterans will want to run the Raids, and anyone who wants to will be SOL.

That stuff is for the first time destiny legendary edition buyers. But odds are they can skip half that cause of vendor gear or something. Bungie really need to think about the future of those raids. Without keeping them relevant, they aren't adding content per expansion: they're replacing content. Game ain't getting any bigger that way :/
