Let him go.
Kneejerk reactionary clowns like the OP are half the reason why we have so many nerfs, and balances in the game anyway. I think Bungie only put Ascension in the game now, so that they could focus on delivering the "real deal" in TKK.
The changes that have been revealed mean that "the grind" will still be required to get max power for your character, but you wont be stopped from hitting levelcap through RNG.
The hardcore players can still grind, and the casuals can hit levelcap even if they dont have time to grind for hours for gear. I think it is a win/win situation for the community, and the game. I also think that this system, with some tweaks will be the standard for the rst of the games lifespan

Thanks.. I'm just tired of seeing so much speculation and misinformation when we don't know jack about it. Saw it last year before The Dark Below and then again this past spring for Wolves and now we're once again seeing it for The Taken King. What's worse are the ones who stoke the fires of utter bullshit are nowhere to be seen once the crap has been debunked. To be honest - the more that I think about it, I'm actually going to enjoy the change. Does that mean that I won't miss my Year one gear? Hell no, but I'll hang on to some of my more prized collections - if anything to remember what it took to get it.

Exactly. The game as it is now is stale. This will refresh it and I think improve the experience of the game. As flawed as it currently is, its still a lot of fun, just too repetitive. New gear, new missions, new everything will be good

I'm quite looking forward to TTK after reading all the news today. Might even pre order it now
