Anytime man, I know the feeling, it sucks having you favorite guns grow obsolete. I've just played so many MMO games that I've just become used to the whole idea behind it. For me, loot is of course a major part of me grinding my way to the top, but it's also the journey along the way that entertains me. The experience that I get from defeating that difficult boss, or finally obtaining that elusive gun. Finding new favorites and then conversing about old ones with fellow vets. Ultimately, its sharing that experience with a group of people that I enjoy the most, and while this isn't something everyone shares with me, it's what keeps me coming back to Destiny. Personally, I don't think you spent all that time for nothing, you have the memories and excitement of getting those items, the feeling of fulfillment of getting that piece of gear you always wanted, and knowing you worked hard to get it. If anything, you've gained valuable and precious memories, those memories will never leave you (I hope). Best of luck to you bud, may you succeed in whatever you venture out to accomplish!
