Weapons are switching to light instead of damage. Maybe this means that they will level with us the more you use them (more kills on enemies of darkness raises the light level of the weapon) so you won't need to ascend them? Let's just wait and see

Haha i wish i was. It seems the most logical imo because everyone wins. Since it's only the guns you use the most you'd still keep your favorite ones relevant and bungie isnt complaining that everyone is using the same year one weapons
