Doesn't matter how much you show the Tarded Sunsingers...they will STILL run strikes, prison of elders, Vault of Glass hard mode, and crota hard and hold their super the entire time until they die. Trust me...For 6 months I've tried to teach my brother to stop holding his super and hes just now understanding what its like to share orbs. Getting a sunsinger to even understand to run Touch of flame almost never happens.
I usually main Radiant skin and get ridiculed for not having self rez...except with radiant skin I can make my 9 orbs basically every super, and I'm doing that every few minutes. The other teammates just grab the orbs and hold a super and do nothing with it. Trust me, so many people that play this game are horrible and they just sit there holding supers in PVE. PVP people tend to use them religious and at horrible times, but at least they use them.

I usually run Voidwalker if it's anything other than 34 & 35 arena, nightfall, or any hard raid. I akin it to, in my experience, being a line medic in the military. People will take greater risks when they're confident that someone can save them. They're a lot more relaxed, as well, thus making them better, when they know that they have someone that has their back if something goes wrong. It's more of a mental boost than a physical one. And it's noticeable when I play with my regulars.

There are times when it is best for the team to hold on to self Rez. Like during nightfall or Skolas

Because why bother using it to make orbs? I really don't care about your three Golden gun shots or arc blade enough to waste my super. Now if we got a titan bubble, then his super will recharge fast anyways so it doesn't warrant using super. It is more that you want it when you truly need it.

Or if the squad really needs orbs for something (like the beginning of hard crota) I just really like having the self rez in the bank for hard raids because if I die I'm dead for good. A good self rez can save a run. And you can make your goons orbs when you revive. The buffs radiance applies are NOT THAT GOOD for pve. They are good, but not worth throwing away a second life on hard raid.

didn't say this was for hard raid :3 in fact I said it was best for outside endgame activities

I completely understand not using it at all. Just fits my playstyle. I'm very conservative. I feel like I play so much better with a safety net. On warlock I tend to use my abilities to escape danger. Self rez helps me escape from death. Also outside of endgame activities, who the hell cares what you run? You can just steamroll through things. And I do use radiance when I'm alive. I just like that perk for safety. High intellect brings it right back. On another note, I have been dying to play around with song in trials.

well when ppl run Self Rez, they very rarely use their super at all, which is a huge waste IMO

Darn them not saving a few seconds of my time by not making me orbs. Let em have their rez. I just get to shoot more stuff. Also I know I sound like I'm being a pain but this is indeed an excellent post. I've been wondering about how effective song can be in pvp.
