So according to the latest news, you will not be able to upgrade legendary year one weapons/armor. All those dragon strikes for Hopscotch and guess what... there will be stronger ones out. Those fancy adept weapons from trials... pfft sit down, we got bigger and better ones coming. Oh wait, the mighty Fatebringer will be no more. Gotta love the direction this game is heading in. 10 years people this is the plan. Mean while, $1000 later, regrind again.
In case you people still want to call it a MMO *cough From Bungie-
Destiny is a first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie and published by Activision. Released on September 9, 2014, Destiny marked Bungie's first new franchise since the Halo series. Set in a "mythic science fiction"
I love it! The flames are rising in the forums now. So many similar topics all over the place. I might change my name to Firestarter. Keep up the good work. This stuff is gold, especially when bored at work. I need more entertainment. Not sure how long this topic will stay alive before it's nuked like a previous topic I created. I also appreciate the defenders justifying their hard earned time. Keep telling yourself it wasn't all for nothing.
Picture your favorite car... Do you buy the next model each year or do you hold onto it because you love it? Too expensive, no problem. Do you buy new ice cream every week or do you stick with what you love? You have your comforts and so do I.
Have a nice day!

My grind meant something. Who are you to tell otherwise?

Because I know this post will be made you f-ing predictable tool bags

Edited by Blyndwolf: 8/5/2015 3:25:41 AMIf Bungie called it an MMO, would you be okay with them resetting progress? All MMOs that increase level cap with an expansion require you to drop old gear. It's the label really that big of a deal?
-
Edited by Petrinko: 8/5/2015 6:28:13 PMMy shadow price will always be with me. One gun I will not remove. You know, like a trophy.
-
What you're ALSO missing is the fact that the RNG will be changed to decrease your chances of getting an item you already have twice, increasing your chances of getting exotics and legebdaries you do not have. This, my friend, is progress
-
People keep forgetting that this will render all end game items useless too. There will be no reason to do vault of glass, Crotas end, prison of elders, and trials of Osiris. It's a seriously stupid move but Bungie doesn't understand the concept of "optional".
-
Omg it's exactly like whenever I go to the bathroom all that eating and drinking meant absolutely nothing and it was all just a waste of time! You are so smart!
-
I had fun.
-
My hard work won't be gone for nothing. It'll have prepped me for year 2 of destiny.
-
OP evidentially never had true hardships. Too much is going on in real life to get upset at losing the ability to use a favorite gun in a game. {reaches for phone and dials 911} {ring} {ring} We are sorry, all of our WHAAAAAMBULANCES are currently busy with other threads. Please wait and your thread will be answered when we give a damn.

Don't care

Maybe your grind will mean nothing, but my grind does and always will mean a hell of a lot of good times with friends!
-
This is what happens when you introduce people that only play cod to a shooter with mmo elements, they bitch
-
Destiny is not an MMO, but it is an RPG, and RPG's have traditional level based experience based progression with defensive armor. I'm glad everything is being thrown out, time for a new start.
-
This is my First MMO type game in which i have really invested time in and i am kinda sad by this news ... My VoC , fatebringer and so many other weapons that have gone to hell and back with but its time to move on , i am willing to try it
-
Can anyone direct me to this news from Bungie?
-
You quoted wiki, you think wiki is a creditable source for a video game genre? I guess you go to a music store to see what genre of movies are playing too?
-
Did you expect anything else?
-
And the best part? No vault space will be added. Apparently Deej with his 1 raid completion has assured the developers that he has more than enough space for weapons, and no more vault space is needed till 2018.
-
Actually it did matter. Because for a whole year you got to be a max level and continue getting better in order to accomplish new tasks. TTK is basically "Destiny 2" so it makes perfect sense you would have to start over.
-
And everything in crucible is a level playing field meaning my Messenger and Summoner will still be useful. So I could really care less if some of my weapons will be "crucible only".
-
No, it meant that I got all characters to 34 so I can go into every TTK content day one.
-
They all paid off though. Fatebringer was the best pve hand cannon, like vision was best pve scout rifle. They were pretty much overused and were supposed to be nerfed but didn't. Stop bitching
-
Anyone saying destiny isn't an MMO MMO stands for massive multiplayer online. Technically destiny falls into this category and along the lines of any other MMO Ever made your old tier weapons and Armour will become obsolete if its going to be a problem for you, you should probably just stop playing now or else do like the rest of us who have played mmos going on over 10 years now and buckle up and get ready to grind away again and again and again
-
Edited by jonathanpride: 8/5/2015 1:41:02 AMBungie can lie all they want and say it's not an mmo but it's a hybrid part fps part mmo. If not then why all the lore surrounding it? Why do all the exotics tell a story? How come the second year of Destiny is going to be more story driven and include more weapons then in all the previous dlc‘s combined? As much as you CoD crybabies want to believe it's not part mmo it is and if it's not that's the direction it's heading in. Ps. World of warcraft the biggest mmo ever uses the same formula of getting rid of old weapons every time a new expansion comes out.
