Come September your grind meant nothing
So according to the latest news, you will not be able to upgrade [i][b]legendary[/b][/i] year one weapons/armor. All those dragon strikes for Hopscotch and guess what... there will be stronger ones out. Those fancy adept weapons from trials... pfft sit down, we got bigger and better ones coming. Oh wait, the mighty Fatebringer will be no more. Gotta love the direction this game is heading in. 10 years people this is the plan. Mean while, $1000 later, regrind again.

I love it! The flames are rising in the forums now. So many similar topics all over the place. I might change my name to Firestarter. Keep up the good work. This stuff is gold, especially when bored at work. I need more entertainment. Not sure how long this topic will stay alive before it's nuked like a previous topic I created. I also appreciate the defenders justifying their hard earned time. Keep telling yourself it wasn't all for nothing.
Picture your favorite car... Do you buy the next model each year or do you hold onto it because you love it? Too expensive, no problem. Do you buy new ice cream every week or do you stick with what you love? You have your comforts and so do I.

1. I main strangers rifle in pvp. 2. I main AllFate in IB/ToO. 3. I run pve w anything, but usually FB in the past. Lately, I found this awesome gun called NL Shadow, a new weapon. It is a full auto scout rifle and I have several this way. One of em has firefly. It's a pve monster. There will be new weapons and Im looking forward to them, learning which are the best if the best, and getting my hands in those weapons. FB has served me well. I am curious about the blackhammer nerf/patch. If its not going to be ascendable, why would Bungie waste any time at all on "tweaking" it downward w the weapons patch on TTK? Why? If it has no future? Why nerf it? It makes me think that "raid" legendaries may be treated differently than other legendaries.

I dont think you can compare a real life thing to video items. Plus, "almost" everyone is bored of destiny now and whats the point of keep on going with year 1 weapons if people are bored of the same thing?

Same with Destiny, I played the content when it was relevant and had a lot of fun! Video games will all, eventually, be pointless. Just enjoy the ride and stop complaining :) Edit: also, video games are not cars or ice cream. But, even they are eventually replaced by new kinds/models. So, ya.

They said you can fuse armor you like with others to make it stronger, so you could keep any of your favorite armor pieces. Not sure about weapons

My only grind is for weapon parts, and that's if the spirit moves me! It needs more challenge, and as much as I love my Fatebringer, this is needed. So -blam!- off or -blam!- out!

My grind meant nothing? That grind gave me skill and basic concept of the game. That grind made me friends and a small clan. That grind entertained me. When the grind stop the stagnation starts. Destiny is starting to stagnate.

2 RepliesWhile I won't disagree that it's going to be all for naught, at the same time, this is a common occurrence in actual MMOs, where eventually, DLC outstretches current game stuff. Expansions, DLC, whatever you wanna call it. It's natural for a game to do this. It's how this shit works. So, while I am bummed that my FB or VoC won't be coming along with me (also a bit mad they gave us ToO adept weapons but we can't bring them because they were actually harder to get) I totally understand it and have been through it many MANY times before. The same shit is going to happen EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. Get that in your heads, guys. Unless they allow it from year 2 into 3, then I will be ticked. That's just mean. Also, just because you won't have your current weapons doesn't mean you've lost your ability to play the game. You're going to be better than people who start Year 2, just like Day 1'ers were better than Christmas or Summer newbies.

I had a lot of fun with those weapons, but the game is getting stale. Why wouldn't you want new weapons to kill with? Get over it or quit.

2 Repliesthis game is putting people in denial about the grind. the grind is real and its going to be all for nothing in sept. now the grind starts over and i might be over the grind. it took long enough to get all the weapons and now it will be for what nothing. i really dont know if i can start this shit all over again i guess im going to have to see the reviews before making my final decision.

8 RepliesWhy do people not want new better weapons. That's what makes you keep coming back. If all your current weapons stayed the best there's no reason to try to get the new stuff.

There's no point in me doing any of the crap there is in this game. I've got all the exotics except a pair of hunter boots Thus anything I acquire I won't need and/or will be purposely made obsolete. Good for them. But It's not for me and not what I call fun.

Or is it the case that they're not increasing vault space and as such you'll need to get rid of stuff to accompany the new more powerful stuff, also in the text it says older lefe faries, does this necessarily mean all currently available ones or just vanilla or maybe everything besides raid gear ?!
