Dragon [AFK] Strikes?

Farming for the Hopscotch Pilgrim has been rather arduous. But I still keep going Strike after Strike. More frustrating than not seeing it drop is the ever numerous afker's I encounter frequently. Whether they sit near the beginning, or simply follow along, crouching before each checkpoint. Symptoms include 0 kills, 0 assists, and 0 deaths. Imagine how I feel having 200+ kills for one strike, only to receive a rare engram and a rare item as they receive a legendary item. I have followed the proper channels of reporting players for being unhelpful/quitting. But after two afker's tonight, in separate strikes, the following questions came to mind: 1. Are these reports actually doing anything? 2. Is the only player paying a price me, with my time? 3. Am I really just carrying these individuals to gear/rep they didn't earn with zero consequences? For the first time tonight, I messaged one of them. Attached is a link to our short conversation (name retracted), I was not rude, just curious. Why did he do this? He told me. The Conversation Now I would like to have a conversation with you Bungie. Are you okay with this? Are there consequences? Or is my reporting in vain, and my time wasted ignored? Thank you for your time, -RogueSok

 • Presumably Bungie must get thousands of reports even week, many of which are from sore losers with an axe to grind with players better than they are. I'm guessing there has to be a certain number of complaints about the same player before they will act.
