*****\\\\\\AjjaniGoldmane has been chosen the winner. Thanks for all of your stories, I wish I could buy all of you the DLC; perhaps other Guardians will step up and help the community out. Until next DLC... Peace. //////*****
I understand some people can't afford the new DLC due to financial circumstances. I am offering to buy 1 person the new Taken King DLC out of the kindness of my heart.
I am hoping for this thread to gain notoriety and have many other Guardians step forward who can afford to spare $40 to another Guardian in need.
Let's pay it forward.
I only ask of you to explain your situation and why you can't afford the new DLC.
Do not message me, please post your story as a reply.
Requirements:
-Xbox Platform
-Tell me your story
-Be drug and alcohol free
-Age cutoff is 25
Obviously there is no way on verifying these requirements, but please use the integrity system and do not abuse it.
I will choose the winning Guardian this Friday.

Xbox One Story: it's a simple one really, I wasn't able to get a job this summer really because I was doing a program for early college credits ( College Now Program). The money I had left I had to use to help my brother who was in kind of a fanatical situation. As such I don't have any money left to buy this DLC and I won't anytime soon with becoming a High school Senior, college essays, early college prep classes, and SATs/ACT ( the pressure is on since I only have two chances on those since I don't really have the pocket money to buy more chances to take them. I usually use destiny as a cool down time for all that teen stress. Honestly I'm not in dire need of this DLC like maybe some Vets who play this game as a cool down but it would be nice if I could take this chance to continue this journey I've had in destiny. I'm a day 1 player and that warlock I have is a Character I've envisioned since the beta. Thanks for this opportunity Gt: Vulcan Maximum Drug and Alcohol free -Age: 16

I call DIBS... It's international law

I will also be contributing to this. I will buy one person TTK. Please put do this: -Platform -Age -Must have not taken a drink of alcohol in the past -Age cutoff is 27 I know I will not be able to validate these stories, but please be honest and truthful and do not abuse the system. Please PM me, or leave a reply to this comment. Thank you.

I'm on 360. I'm 15 years old and for me, $40 dollars is a pretty steep price tag. I do have a job (sort of). I make $20 a week from mowing my neighbors lawn. Now you think; $20 a week? You could make enough money in two weeks! Yes I could. But I'm coming to the age where my money needs to be spent wisely. After all there is Homecoming during the second week of school which is really pricey. I'm almost 16 which means I will get my license soon and probably a car too. I'm also to the age where I am buying gifts for other people with my hard earned money. As far as being drug free I have never gotten high or drunk. I'm a straight A student. I'm in advanced classes. I'm taking AP Stats and AP Computer science classes next year and the following years for 11th and 12th grade the plan was to take PSEO at a local college so I can get college and high school credits simultaneously which means less money spent on college credits.

Whether we wanted it or not, we stepped into a war with the Activisionians on Bungie. So let's start by taking out their commanders one by one. Pre-ordering. From what I can gather, he commands the gaming content from a Publisher outside of Destiny. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on DLC.

Edited by Heavy Ammo: 8/5/2015 7:57:12 AMI would love to be apart of this and try to win this... But I have trust issues that cause me to not be comfortable speaking my problems for everyone to see. And I don't even know if I will even have Internet or a home, or electricity if we still have this home to enjoy the taken king in by the time it comes out. Good luck to the other guardians. And thank you for giving this opportunity to people. RAOK like this sometimes is all a down spirit needs to gain hope again in the world and push to make a change in their lives. Love the positivity here

I got dragged out to the state I live in at thirteen and I've been struggling to make ends meet ever since. Whether it's been something as simple as getting a ride out to school, which I was forced to move between frequently, or figuring out how to make a phone call, things have never quite clicked for me. Over the course of time, my mother has stolen somewhere in the range of four thousand five hundred dollars from me, not including what I've used to bail her out of jail or get her car out of the impound lot because she couldn't keep her foot off the gas pedal, and I needed her to survive. I've lived on my own since the age of eighteen (I'm twenty-one now) to escape her and her boyfriend, who would turn off the power to my room in the middle of the Summer because me typing at ten o' clock at night apparently impeded his ability to sleep. I work at a plastic recycling plant making just slightly over minimum wage, enough to cover the bills, but not much left in the way of having fun. Hell, my fiance and I just broke up, and she was supplying my phone for the past year and a half, so now I've added another bill to the list that I already couldn't afford. I've been using a 360 controller with destroyed thumbsticks for a long while now because I can't even afford a new plug and play kit for my old controller, and dropping money on even a three-month Xbox Live card is pretty intense for me. I haven't actually bought a game in quite some time, all but maybe two of them in the past four years have been gifts from friends. I got Destiny as one of those gifts, as a matter of fact. At this point, it's one of the few things that helps keep my mind off the severity of things. I want to continue the adventure, because this game has its fun points and I enjoy being able to play a cooperative game as big as this, but forty dollars is pretty far above my head for DLC right now. I'm not an alcoholic, and drugs have killed too many members of my family for me to even want to touch them. I've seen them twist people all around until there's nothing left. I've seen the ashes after they've been cremated. My father included. I've got enough problems without creating more for myself by -blam!-ing up my head even worse.

I'm on the Playstation 4 console. I can afford to buy it myself, but I wouldn't say no to you buying it for me. I've tried every single drug under the sun, and I have a several drinks every day to keep the shakes away. Also, I'm 26 years old!

Edited by Minty: 8/3/2015 11:21:49 PMWell here we go. I was born and raised in Skyrim my whole life. I have a brother named Hrongar, and three children, Frothar, Dagny and Nelkir. No one ever mentions my spouse , but one can speculate that she died at least some time before the beginning of the Dragon Crisis. I am the Jarl of Whiterun, residing in his great hall, Dragonsreach. I am a major character in the main quest of Skyrim. I am also at the age of 35. I know the requirement is at a max of 25 but you can make an exception for me right? I hope you except me. Edit: Btw I am not on any drugs or alcohol. You know Skooma etc.

My sister is still in army reserves and we barely have anything, other than a TV a laptop an xbox360 and some other appliances, living in a dirty apartment is tough, my mother just got a mitral valve prolapse surgery and she's recovering fine. I'm 16, hard times.

Always good to see a kind stranger. I can afford it on my own though I don't know if I would buy one for a stranger.
