Thorns
[b][i]Thorns being used in Iron Banner.
I personally feel that the weapon Thorn serves no purpose except for those seeking cheap kills without having to work for them like the majority of players whom play Destiny, And whilst Destiny is a incredible immersive game the gun in question is to OP for Iron Banner.
It should be nerfed or blocked from use in the Iron Banner.

A lobby I entered earlier, the opposing team sat in their spawn, and with the exception of one, all were using Thorns.
It's has no relevance to the Iron Banner, in that the Iron Banner is to prove your worth an mettle.
There are those such as myself whom play to learn grow develop.
Those with Thorns are simply bypassing the very effort the rest of us gamers put into the game.
It's simple really.
Buff assault rifles/fusion rifles to counter Thorns or Nerf the Thorn an let's see if they can still play the game without gaining cheap kills.
On another note:
Why is it those whom achieve the worst results gain legendary items....?
But those that play an gain a high kill score gain hardly any reward !!!! [/i][/b]

Well, Nobody claimed to be a good player using it. Block use? Get over yourself, it's being balanced in a month anyway. If you are good, you can counter it with plenty of other weapons. I had much success with last word and multitool against thorns, and I'm not even that good.

4 RepliesFun to use annoying to get killed by... Which is more the reason people complain. When someone attacks you with thorn you know immediately what you are up against. I get just as many or more kills in IB using hawkmoon or a good pulse rifle because people stay and fight...

1 ReplyJust played against another team, all running thorn. They didn't even bother going for the heavy ammo since apparently they can group snipe us and then duck behind cover. Surprise, we lost. I know iron banner is more forgiving than the trials of Osiris but when one type of weapon( hand cannons), and a specific one at that (thorn/last word), rules above all other weapons. This isn't a contest of skill and mettle. It's plainly who has the best gear combo and if they don't, simply run thorn and stay in the back. Simple attrition will take care of the rest. Forget those lesser guardians that have beat everything else outside the crucible but haven't been deemed worthy of attaining the exotic bounty of the gun by RNGesus. I don't mind a challenge Bungie, but you're stacking the deck against the people that could most use the rewards you provide by this event. I don't believe the debuff will do anything to this. A balancing needs to be done with actual testing before release using more than just a comparatively select few die hard players telling you it's okay. I'm a causal gamer and I don't have the time to spend all this time in the game. Thank you for making me hate the crucible and what it represents, the less fortunate players running into slaughter of the "try-hards".
