Master Chief beats your average Guardian despite the fact they are technically superior, because he has "luck". A guardian with a large enough "legend" may stand toe to toe, or at least come close. If he could hypothetically fight the mysterious stranger, their luck would at best cancel each others out (continuity only demands one hero from the "royal" "lineage" inherit the mantle and face Dark) and he would lose. Chances are the roots of the timeless hero are much deeper now though, and she would be luckier than him.

Since when did the "mysterious stranger" have luck like MC? Destiny doesn't have enough story for that.

Edited by Twitch.TV/Ghostbuddy: 8/3/2015 8:12:08 PMCrota had "luck", and it gave him "durability", until we killed his "soul". I know where "luck" comes from, I know what it really is. Luck is to be so important, to have roots so deeply entrenched into the foundation of the world, to have a legend so vast across time and space, that the universe itself conspires to preserve you until you fullfill your destiny. Causality becomes your most trustworthy shield. She fits the infinite pattern(just ask the FWC); thus she has luck.
