After losing fuel reserves due to structural damage, I drifted among the stars for months, in this steel box that I believed would become my tomb.
I awoke from my sleep as my ship began plummeting through a planet's atmosphere. Piece by piece I watched my ship peel away around me. I blacked out.
I awoke to see I had survived the crash landing. This appeared to be a forest world, with trees and various flora as far as the eye could see.
I spent weeks wandering through the forests, surviving by hunting various wildlife for food. I eventually came to the forest's edge and found a civilization. Within the civilization were the planet's dominant species, a bipedal primate. They built massive structures and appeared to be flourishing under the peak of their civilization.
After integrating into this strange society I learned that the planet's intelligent species was not very intelligent. Rather than working together in unison, they fought frequently amongst themselves. They invested few resources into medical development, allowing easily-curable diseases such as cancer and viral infections to run rampant among themselves. They seemed to pride themselves in having the largest collection of weaponry and military vehicles of all the societies. They poison their atmosphere with their vehicles and production facilities. They segregate themselves and each other based on physical features and personal preferences. And they frequently steal from one another.
This is an emergency distress beacon from jsdfreedom of Rhobodon-8. The planet called "Earth" is dangerous and hostile, and should be avoided at all costs.
