The Taken King should be changed to The King of Taken your Money.
The DLC is overpriced at $40.
It is not worth $40...Activi$ion....as we ALL well know...is disgusting when it comes to scamming people.
Destiny is on its last leg with milking beyond belief since both Bungie and Activi$ion know that all the good games are coming out soon (SW Battlefront, Uncharted 4, Deus Ex, Doom, Fallout 4, Dishonored 2, Need for Speed 2015, etc.)
This https://youtu.be/Ll3uipTO-4A is the King of Taken your 💰's theme song.
Reduce the price at whats truly worth ($20) or you WILL lose sales Bungie and Activi$on........

Yawn...another don't buy TTK troll. Don't like how much it costs, don't buy it. Destiny and the rest of the world will continue to go on with out you. Just FYI, I pre-ordered the $80 super deluxe awesome version of TTK because I make a decent living and dig Destiny. Nuff said.

Edited by oPROFESSIONALo: 8/2/2015 9:04:03 PMEverything us Guardians have grinded for and earned will be useless yet again.. Then will be given a new small map with same crap, couple new weapons to grind yet again. Not worth it. Do what I did.. Destiny since Alpha, played it hard for 2 months, moved on, came back after tdl and how dropped. Now I'm gonna repeat. Wait for a couple DLC's to come out then buy it all.

It will be worth $40 it won't however be worth £40
-
You do realize this is bigger than the others, right?

Edited by Loyalpayer: 8/2/2015 8:07:38 PMTHIS IS WHY DESTINY DLC IS LACKING IN EVERYTHING BUT A BIG PRICE TAG. On September 9th, Destiny launched bringing the valuation of Activision Blizzard's stock, ATVI, to 23.73$ at its closing, close to an All-time high of 24.18$. The past few days however, it seems investors are singing a different tune due to Destiny lukewarm reviews and disappointing sell-through - over 500 million $ worth of shipments were sent out to retailers - nonetheless only 325 million $ sold-through thus far effectively leaving 175 million $ worth of inventory on store shelves. As such, ever since the launch of Destiny, the stock has now rapidly declined, losing over 10% of its valuation to where it stands currently 21.60$ ish - 1.5 billion $ erased from ATVI's market cap in just a few days.

I guess im just at a point in my life where I could spend 40$ bucks on beer or the taken king... So...
-
Wow another one of these posts really? Ok we freaking get it you think its overpriced! Buy it or don't but shut up!
-
Thank goodness I can easily afford it and have no problem with the price. Considering brand new NES games were up to $60 back in 1985, the zero price inflation of these games is cool with me.
-
Soooooo.....dont buy it??
-
Edited by UnderPressureM16: 8/3/2015 1:05:55 AMI feel like most people will probably preorder it anyways you know how it is, but honestly it is their money... So Im not really on either side I guess lol Im just waiting to see if its gonna be good or not

I make $13 an hour I am 19 years old I work 40 hours a week That is roughly $370 a week after tax. If you cannot scrounge up $40 because a mortgage has got you by the balls or you have recently had a kid, tough luck. Entertainment isn't what you need right now. If you don't have $40 off hand as a teenager who lives at home, then you do not get to complain about pricing.
-
$40 is chump change these days over priced would be $59.99
-
Really looking forward to TTK. I have logged more hours in destiny than any game I have played in a long time. $40, seriously? That is a little more than what it cost to go to the movies these days. A movie last roughly 2 hours. I suspect I will log way more than two hours in TTK. its all about entertainment value, and destiny has been good value for my dollar. As long as they can keep the game fresh, I see myself here for the long hall. I have purchased no other game for my ps4 for over a year. I guess you can say I have been content with the game.
-
I'm just buying it to try it out. Once I use up most of it, its back to the same old crap like I usually do before TTK came out. I'm not going to be wasting hours grinding for shit I'm not even sure that I'll get.
-
Edited by CalledToBeBold7: 8/3/2015 12:56:04 AMI'm buying it at $40. I see it being worth that much. Go cry somewhere else
-
Oh look, another "TTK is overpriced and people should be ashamed for buying it" post. I've only seen 4565828284854727 of these today. Muted.
-
You basically said it's overpriced three times then your post was over? Give me one good reason why your right and that I shouldn't mute you
-
It's with 40$ I'm paying 100$ for it.
-
I enjoy the game so I'll buy it.
-
Edited by WhoAteMyFunDip: 8/2/2015 8:56:32 PMI love how people keeping saying it's not worth $40 when they haven't even played it & don't know everything that's included. Moreover, worth is a subjective idea -- it may be worth it to some, but not to others. If you don't think it's worth it, don't buy it, but leave everyone else the fûck alone about it. Seriously, no one gives a shit about you or your soapbox.
-
Edited by McHomeschooled: 8/2/2015 11:42:11 PMAlready bought it because I'm okay with the price.
-
The class items and emotes pack is retarded ridiculous but I'm still buying ttk
-
It is not overpriced it deserves $40 A new huge raid A new patrol area which is huge and full of secrets Nee subclasses New weapons and armor New enemies 5 new strikes 12 new story missions Exotic quests New quests And much more Your opinion doesn't change my mind I love Destiny and I'll support it
-
