Buying the Taken King? Read this....
The Taken King should be changed to The King of Taken your Money.
The DLC is overpriced at $40.
It is not worth $40...Activi$ion....as we ALL well know...is disgusting when it comes to scamming people.
Destiny is on its last leg with milking beyond belief since both Bungie and Activi$ion know that all the good games are coming out soon (SW Battlefront, Uncharted 4, Deus Ex, Doom, Fallout 4, Dishonored 2, Need for Speed 2015, etc.)

I personally tossed them $80 a few days after it was available. If you don't feel you're getting what you paid for then please kindly -blam!- off and go play something else.

Hmm, to me it sounds like they're adding actual story, a new voice actor for our ghost, lots of new weapons, an entirely new way to level up, cutscenes, meaningful and 'personalized' character customization and storylines, a redesigned tower (more and new vendors), New characters, New ghost shells, New ways to access weapons, a redesigned RNG system favoring towards weapons you haven't gotten before, a new patrol...and at least another 200 hours of playtime for me

2 RepliesTake into account these facts 1. Destiny most played game on Xbox1 idk about ps4 but I'm guessing it's up there 2. Everyone who enjoyed the game enough to get to 34 that has the money will buy it 3. Bungie had a presence for destiny at e3 and games con this game brings in enough money to Justify add marketing for dlc at the biggest events in the gaming industry

Just stop it.. if you don't like the price just don't buy it instead of whining. Problem solved. I think it's well worth the price with everything they are bringing to the table.. Not only that but I'm buying the collectors edition with strange coin and all. Whether or not it's worth is subjective. Again, if you don't like the price, don't buy it.. I'm sure you'll be able to pick it up in a year for $5.

The DLC is being advertised as almost a full game however let's not forget, Destiny didn't begin with much content to begin with.
