Can I have A Ketch Already?
Okay so since vanilla game I've understood the Fallen ranking system. We kill the winter Kell and we earn no such appropiate reward as the Queen did. She killed the Wolf Kell... and she got all of his fallen and all of his stuff along with them. As soon as we drop the Kell of Winter.... that Ketch, technically... should have been ours.
Now Taniks... all of those Dregs running around to kill their Leader's killer... so that they earn the respect and leadership over their kin.
Skolas, "Kell of Kells"... we defeated that fella twice. Once was a grand kill in the queens arena. And still... no Ketch.
The Queen is Awoken... so the argument that we are not Eliksni is silly. She did it, so can we.
Not to mention this would be excellent plot filler for giving us a means of reaching Saturn and such places.
This could be an amazing personal social area for clans and friends to show off trophies and the like within their Ketch's Walls. Name your ship, store your jumpships in the Skiff hangar-bay. An upgradable Vault and customizable cosmetics such as banners, lighting, coloring (external and internal), etc.
Upgrade your Ketch with vendors and cosmetic npcs to bring it to life(Fallen maybe?)
This could also be integrated into PvP. But not in the traditional sense.... take the soccer ball or bouncy blue ball and give it purpose!!! Guardian Competitive Sports! Just kidding(maybe).
Thoughts?
(Also Bungie this wouldn't require too much in the department of designing new assets... you have Ketch interiors and a plethora of cosmetic inserts for "furniture".)

Edit: Keep this trending friends! If it stay near the top they may actually consider this. Of course I am getting my hopes up way too early... but still. One can dream.

Since the game considers every player the "One true Protagonist" from a narrative perspective, why the heck not? We're the slayers of the Black Garden. We're the Guardians who toppled Aethoen. We Kicked in Crota's Door and defeated him on his home turf. We've quelled Skolas' Uprising. We've slain Oryx, a Hive God, and many of his powerful Taken subordinates. We are about to protect the world from Golden Age enhanced Fallen and the Siva Plague. We are Hive Bane. We will be Iron Lords. We are [b]THE[/b] Guardian! Is there any Guardian as famed and well achieved as we, the player characters? Is there any guardian that is more deserving of his own damn Frigate? Personally I'd want a Warmind themed personal Frigate, or Vex.

1 ReplyI want a hanger full of the ships I've collected. I want a bar with my outdated raid weapons mounted on the walls. I want to have full armor sets displayed for all to see. I want a cozy room with a holographic fireplace with raid boss heads mounted on the walls and a skolas pelt where I rest my feet. And I want some goddamn fallen butlers with little suits running around the place.

18 RepliesSo as in one of the story missions you go off to kill the kell of winter. As you should have been given the title of kell of winter as well as earning the bigass ketch and all the personnel/other vehicles stored in the ship. That just became the start of your armada. As you rise to power I.e. Gain glimmer as well as motes(these will come in handy later) you will begin to participate in orbital/space battles. If you've read the lore that the crucible quartermaster was once in combat why not utilize those as well as converted fallen. Dregs/minor combat frames will be the boarding parties as well as utilizing small nimble fighters. You(as well as a fireteam of 3 to 6 will be present depending on how large the battles are) will be apart of leading your forces to strategic objectives upon the enemy's ketch as well as defending your own. Of course these are secondary as you may also participate in the actual space dogfighting. Critical objectives: Disable comms( disabling the communications of the ship will cancel the ability to call in reinforcements) Disable engines: Disabling the engines will effectively stop the enemy from trying to circle your ship to attack weak spots. Kill enemy commander/commanders: Kill the A.I. /enemy players to finish the match. Do note that each will have a squad of major vandals and 1 captain for survivability. These units will accompany you through the entire match and will be the elite squad when dogfighting. ( although once killed this squad is irreplaceable once killed) Custom loadouts: Rare/common weaponry will be only available to minor units. Anything is permitted for these units. Your elite squad will only be able to use legendary weapons. (Exotics would be a travesty in the battlefield if used by your personal A.I.). If you win against an enemy you absorb that ship into your fleet as well as the remaining personnel. ( this only qualifies in PvE, PvP will be 1 ketch vs 1 ketch for balancing purposes). Glimmer/motes of light: Glimmer should be used to purchase better armor/ better sensors for units so they can be more accurate against the enemy. Use your motes on a certain squad/squads to give them smaller versions of your super as well as grenades. (It would be wise to attack with at least another guardian against these units) Plz give me some comments or clarifications on idea. Thx [spoiler]BOOOOOM *drops mic*[/spoiler]

I'd rather have the entire armada of the Vanguard, Dead Orbit, FWC, New Monarchy, and what remains of the Reef and Oryx's Dreadnaught at our disposal. We did save the solar system, thrice.
