If you see Red bar.....
Do you report them for lagging? What if they use dial up and can't afford good internet?

We have over 1k replies. Wow so many dial up users and mega speed users with red bar regardless.

1 ReplyWell I can see there are a lot of douches here. Saying that it's their fault because they can't afford good internet is just stupid. You do realise there will almost always be lag between different countries? I'm from Australia and normally yellow/red bar with Americans, but then it is fine with people from my own country. My internet is good to host raids etc, but when it comes to the crucible and people from other countries it isn't the best.

7 RepliesI report them if they are red barring, [i]and[/i] if they are topping their team's scoreboard. If a player's lag isn't be misfiring them at all, then they are either not cheating, or very very bad at cheating.

5 RepliesI never report red bars, basically they can be in Europe, and I'n on West Coast US, can't get better internet connections, etc. Only time I report is if they call ME a hacker, or I find proof they lag switch.

I get a mixture of all 3 coloured bars. I don't have dialup but with a lack of dedicated servers I doubt some people can help it. I only report if someone is actually lagging around the map cause I've seen a team of red bars and the game runs smoothly and non of them are rubber banding.

If anything, BUNGIE should have better matchmaking like with Halo 3. You can either region-lock or have it based on your connection.

I only report if they are clearly jumping all over the place. I have never cheated (I don't even know how) but sometimes I get reported and hate messages for being red bar when getting top score. Red bars don't always lag or cheat. Green bars sometimes lag fiercely too.

Red bars really seem to ruin the game for everyone. If someone can't afford better internet, they're ruining the game for both of us, only difference is I'm paying more to still have a shoddy experience.

There's an option of bad connection to report. That's what I do. If they proceed to not take hits on clear hits, survive supers, dance when they should be dying, shoot my team through walls, etc. I report them for cheating as well.
