Do you report them for lagging? What if they use dial up and can't afford good internet?
Dial up users stand up for your rights!
We have over 1k replies. Wow so many dial up users and mega speed users with red bar regardless.
I feel honored to see multiple threads very similar to mine. Originality seems to be lagging as well now!
Holy guacamole!! We passed 1.2k replies. I think we have a dial up problem here!
That's it I'm done.... 1.3k replies. My internet is dying over here. Too much bandwidth being hogged by this app. Please stop replying and no bumps! Red
bar out⇒
Damn it someone necro-bumped this..🏁

Yesterday I was playing IB and I shot my rocket at some guy and didn't die but killed me -.- reported his ass so hard
-
I live in BFE where our internet is Garbo, difference between my bad connection and a lag switcher is I see the game as others jump glitch around when really I'm running into random walls and am able to die completely. Bad connection=user death. Lag switch= invincible user
-
I only report them for bad connection if they are lagging. If shoot them and they die 4 seconds later, no doubt I'm reporting them.
-
I used to. Till I sat and watched everyone's connection while I smoked a bowl. Everyones (myself included) was going from red to green and back. Was everyone cheating? Doubtful. Bungie has crap servers. Now if I go say 3-4 matches and the same guy is always the highest scorer and constantly a red bar then I'll report him.
-
if is see people grouped up with one of them red bar i report all of them not really about cheating hopefully one day i will play a game with solid connections
-
I reserve reporting until everyone on my fireteam is reporting them being able to survive supers and rockets and the sort. Then I report.
-
All about them pings, from a. Quick Google I see most connections have 150 ish me ping which isn't great but far from bad.
-
Then they shouldn't be ruining the experience for others that expect to play their game mostly lag free. Yes I will report them.
-
If I unload a shotgun into them for no damage and they are red bar, then yes but only on the second time, benefit of the doubt and all that
-
Yup i report all red bars i probably get reported from time to time to if my connection suddenly decides to go shitty but I know it's not my internet so I'm not worried about it but yea I report all red bars for bad connection thats why that particular report button is there

Edited by J1bber: 7/31/2015 7:08:28 PMIts not a matter of not being able to afford broadband. Its usually a matter of the type of broadband that is available in your service area. Most gaming traffic requires very low bandwidth to begin with, on the order of kbps, where as most services have base packages starting in the mbps for download speeds. These games are designed to be tolerant of some packet loss, but the most contributing factor to "red barring" is latency or the round trip time of a packet between you and the peer hosting the game. This latency is affected by many things related to the network (your ISP) and a lot of those can not be affected by the end user, not even buying a higher tier broadband package would help. Lots of times the only thing that will help is physically relocating your house to an area where there telcos have decided to build out and drop fiber optic lines directly to the house.
-
Based on what I can see, not the bar alone. Pretty sure that shit lies anyways. But someone is eating/invic/ghandihopteleporting gets that sweet report.
-
Is it even possible to play with dial up? I'm pretty sure you need broadband
-
I don't even care if someone lags. Well I care but I don't report them because that's a waste of time. All I do is cri

Edited by gamefreak889: 7/31/2015 6:58:07 PMIf they are red baring the entire match, they get reported for bad connection. If they are red baring the entire match, teleporting around, taking a full shotgun mag to the face, and killing everyone, they get reported for bad connection and cheating.

Edited by Jeff the Cabal: 7/31/2015 6:36:44 PMNot if they're lagging real hard. It's because when you have a yellow bar, it doesn't always mean lag. Sometimes enemy players might have red bars and they aren't lagging at all. So only if they're actually lagging. And even in that case I rarely report them for "bad connection".
-
If they can buy a system and a game and a controller and a mic, they can afford Internet
-
I probably get reported for bad connection from time to time. I only have one option for Internet until they finish burying the fiber optics in town.
-
Everytime I see your name I can't stop laughing
-
Is dial up still a thing?
-
please tell me that your first name is Richard
