Do you report them for lagging? What if they use dial up and can't afford good internet?

We have over 1k replies. Wow so many dial up users and mega speed users with red bar regardless.

I have a buddy I play with who can't get Internet at his place due to some bs with his isp. Anyways he uses his phone as a hot spot and occasionally lags and red bars for minutes at a time. He didn't get banned this go around so I think they can tell between cheating and Shitty net

Only if it affects the gun play. If their character model takes no damage or just runs straight continually, I report them for bad connection.

If the red bar lasts for the match, and the player takes little or no damage then yes. Reported.

Yes report em for bad connection everytime. If they start glitching around and getting kills then I also report for cheating.

report em, unless everyone is red barring. at that point it's hard to determine who is at fault, a player or bungie's servers. if everyone else is green, definately report. bungie has some ability to determine whether its intentional or not. I'm assuming your not a troll as most troll's are somewhat imaginative.

1 ReplyI don't report people for having a red connection, I report them when a direct shot from my matador to their face doesn't kill them, a super doesn't kill them, a sticky grenade doesn't kill them, but they just plow through my whole team like it's nothing and are on top of the leaderboard.

2 RepliesHaving a red bar doesn't mean that someone's cheating...over the course of a raid everyone's connection will go from green to red and back and forth, it's never bad and certainly not worth reporting lol

1 ReplyI have a wired connection with high speed cable internet. I get the red bar for some matches, but it doesn't seem to change anything except it lets other people kill me after I shotgun them in the face 3 seconds prior. It's not always the persons connection. It's also bungies servers.

I report bad connection. I only report [i]cheating[/i] if they red bar the majority of the time and lead the team (mine [b][i][u]or[/u][/i][/b] the opposing team). After you've played for a while you can pretty much tell who is having a network problem vs monkeying with their network to get kills.

1 ReplyI live on a lake and I get literally one internet provider out there, and I get max 2mb. But when I live at my apartment during the school season I get 15mb! Either way my internet always sucks.
