If you see Red bar.....
Do you report them for lagging? What if they use dial up and can't afford good internet?

We have over 1k replies. Wow so many dial up users and mega speed users with red bar regardless.

What if everyone, including yourself, is on red bar? That seems to be a common thing these days, which really makes you question who's responsible, the players or Bungie.

I only report when only 1 guy on the enemy team is the one causing everyone to get red bar

Last night was the first time I saw a lobby that wasn't all yellow and reds all week. They got rid of the cheaters but their server system is still absolute shit, so what's the -blam!-ing point? They still can't establish consistent connections or ping lock matches, so all Bungie did was reveal just how bad it is on their end. Small engagements on small maps and they still can't run smoothly.... this game is a -blam!-ing joke.

I only report someone if they are clearly lag switching. As far as i know, there are 2 ways to tell (from personal experience). You're shooting someone and they're just walking into a wall, all of a sudden you're dead cause that dude just shotgunned u from behind. It's capture the zone time during trials of osiris. Its 2v1 right now, There's an enemy titan just sitting down at the zone, like press down on the d pad sitting. We're shooting him, melee'ing him throwing grenades. Nothing. He fists of havoc us, we die, they win.

That's what I use the report for bad connection for (not cheating). No idea, what that option is for though to be honest, since we don't have any sort of matchmaking that would be based around that ...

1 ReplyI'll only report them if it actually has an effect on the way the game is acting. I'll only report a bad connection(not for cheating) eg. character makes bizarre teleportations(not blink jump), ammo crates don't respond etc

I was playing iron banner yesterday and was occasionally getting yellow and red bar. This guy sends me a voice message before we even get into the match calling me a -blam!- and everything. Shit was the funniest thing ever. But I'm sure he reported me lol

2 RepliesReport for a bad connection. Have you ever used the report tool? If I don't see them doing jumps shots that a lag switch is used for then I don't report for cheating.

It's pretty easy to tell a lag switcher from someone with a bad connection...anyone who automatically assumes that every red bar is lag switching is a -blam!-ing moron. Here's how I rationalize it. If you buy a PC game, they give you specific system requirements that your comp must have to run the game properly. If you don't meet them, you won't be able to run the game. The developers aren't going to dumb down their game to cater to the minority of players that don't meet the reqs. You need to have a certain quality of Internet to properly run any game with online content, in this case destiny, and you have no right to interfere with others gaming experience because you don't have good enough internet. Sorry, if you play video games online you should know that good Internet is important....sorry if that's condescending, it's just my opinion.

If is mine, I check my pc and ps3, someyimes they run auto updates and f up my ps4 connection. If is someone else I wait a litle before reporting, might have my same luck with updates.

Sometimes I red bar, sometimes I green bar. It depends on the day. And also if my roommates are streaming anything. Also there are days that everything is just -blam!-ed and destiny's shitty server thing causes so much lag. It's not always cheating, Bungie and activision should be held responsible for the shitty servers.

I only report them if it effects the game. If I shoot them and they don't take damage on 2 or 3 occasions, I will report them for bad connection but not for cheating.

If I put 3 shotgun rounds into and it does no damage you get reported. Other than that I could really care less
