If you see Red bar.....
Do you report them for lagging? What if they use dial up and can't afford good internet?

We have over 1k replies. Wow so many dial up users and mega speed users with red bar regardless.
I feel honored to see multiple threads very similar to mine. Originality seems to be lagging as well now!

I have awesome Internet and still get a red bar sometimes. Bungie needs dedicated servers and it will be like a night and day diffrence. I only report if a person has been shot a bunch melee 5 times kills me and runs off to do it to other people. That is when you know they are cheating which actually happens a good bit more then should.

Edited by TrulyDontCare: 8/1/2015 7:43:05 PMI just had a guy with a red bar (the only not green bar in the match) in first on my team in IB. I assumed he was cheating at first, but his k/d was only like 1.12 at the end. I was pretty surprised. It does happen on occasion. Is dial up still a thing?

I was stuck with 2 red bars this morning. One was still running around like normal just a little choppy but the other was teleporting and popping up on the top of the list. I only reported the teleporting guy, the other guy just had bad connection so I left him alone. There is a difference.

6 RepliesIf you're red bar for over a minute while everyone else is green/yellow, then I'll report it. You're ruining the game for others. If you can't afford basic high-speed internet, then playing Destiny should be the least of your concerns.

My connection is weird. It says I red bad and yellow bar a lot, but the game works fine for me. People kill me just as fast as normal, and if anything, I kill them slower because my bullets don't register.

No, if there lag switching you will be able to easily tell, if your not sure what it is or what it looks like you've never faced one just normal lag

I got some yellow bar and briefly some red bar lag the other day. It didn't help me one bit. I'd die before I saw the guy shooting me, I'd get killed through walls and I wasn't getting score credit for kills/assists. On the flip side, I did manage to finish my postmortem bounty fairy easily. Since if I did kill someone, it almost always meant I was already dead, since they killed me a second or two earlier. That must have been a surprise for them.

I have fibre optic and i still get red bar every now and again, only ever report one person which was yesterday, on cauldron and c point this titan walks through the door, two of us catching c both shoot him not a single bit of damage, and he walks up to us and titan smashes the both of us dead straight away
