If you see Red bar.....
Do you report them for lagging? What if they use dial up and can't afford good internet?
Dial up users stand up for your rights!
We have over 1k replies. Wow so many dial up users and mega speed users with red bar regardless.
I feel honored to see multiple threads very similar to mine. Originality seems to be lagging as well now!

1 ReplyI report when I see odd game behavior caused by one player whose connection bar bobs up and down at choke points in the match, ie. Just before and during heavy ammo spawns, when 2 flags are open for cap with a negative score, last minute of the game. When I see connection bobs like that I assume someone is router glitching and send a cheating bad connection report.

No. Red bar doesn't always mean lag. I will only report lag when I actually see them lag. And I will only report cheating if they are obviously cheating. But never do I report someone for "bad connection" based off of their bars. Why? Because it's only a representation of their pings. And having a bad ping doesn't always mean a bad connection.

1 ReplyUnless they are virtually impossible to kill for the duration of the match, no. The red bar doesn't mean jack until they start walking around immune to damage, gunning everyone down before the damage registers 5 seconds later.

1 ReplyOf course I do.. that's what it's there for. Red bar doesn't mean you have bad internet and reporting for "bad connection" is not even close the same thing as reporting for "cheating." If enough people report you, chances are you'll get placed into a new lobby and green bar. It's a win win.

1 ReplyRed bar doesn't actually mean lag. I can run smoothly on a red bar. It just means your pings are lower than normal.

4 RepliesNot sure what everyone is talking about. When I red bar everything is usually fine. Just a little choppy every now and then, but I still get killed pretty normally. If it's truly bad, everyone starts moon walking and I'M the one that ends up getting killed constantly.

1 ReplyI constantly have a raging red bar in crucibubble. The problem is not on my end, granted I only have ADSL, 7mbit down 1mbit up. In every other online game I play I have no latency issues. I have followed all instructions from Bungie to open ports and it did nothing. The problem is on Bungies end.

If they red bar and go top of the match I report cheating bad connection. If they red bar and I shotgun them and don't even break the shields and they own shot me from across the map with a her courtesy I report hem for cheating and bad connection
