We all know the Tower very well, it is where all of us guardians travel to after a long day of bounties, crucible training, or even patrolling the surrounding planets. While the amount of content is Destiny is vast; many Guardians (including myself) feel as though something very simple has been completely abandoned.. The idea of uniting and enjoying time off from shooting the hell out of aliens has been put into a cramped and hidden timeout corner. Let me explain: If you take a shor-... Long walk down into the Tower Hanger, you will find a small little space (You know.. the one where xer is hiding occasionally) where a high-tech jukebox that can only play music for 25 seconds at a time is placed next to a small bar along with seating around some futuristic fireplaces. Besides the lifeless NPCs that utter the same sentence every time you walk past them, this place is completely empty. Recently though my hopes of having a social space where I can sit and enjoy just sitting with other players around a fire or dancing to some repetitive beats have been sparked. While preparing for crucible with a friend I decided to visit the abandoned little club house. I began playing some of the tunes and dancing alone for a bit.. one by one people around the tower came down to join me and soon enough I had an entire tower of Guardians joining me in some dancing and a bit of small talk. Below I have a few SUGGESTIONS that hopefully Bungie will possibly consider one day in Destiny's future. http://imgur.com/gallery/Vv4UWUp [b]1.[/b] Make the social area more available to people.. Not shoved in the corner of the map where no one wants to run to. [b]2.[/b] Tower decorations for holidays to make it a bit more inviting and not a place to go just for "needs" [b]3.[/b] Make a scrolling chat bar at the top right hand corner of the screen so can talk to each other. Chat rules incorporated would be a foul language filter, no more then 2 posts every 5 second (To avoid spamming) and make the character (letters, numbers etc) max 50 per post. The way to type something in the Tower chat would work by Entering NAV Mode and pressing the Right Trigger of the controller. [b]4.[/b] Add an interactive Bar where a guardian can grab a drink and receive one mote of light per day from visiting it! (add maybe a few seats around also. Maybe a steady stream of music playing around the vicinity. [b]5.[/b] And finally my last suggestion is a Request Board. The Request Board would be placed near the new social space and allow any member in the tower to post a small request like "looking for players interested in VOG HARD" "looking for crucible buddies!" and so on... The board would be viewed by walking up to it and pressing whatever your Interact button is and would allow you to view posts by other guardians or create your own! (limit would be 1 post on board per player) and have it so that the post would be deleted when the player left the tower. I feel as though this would create a sort of in game LFG, allowing players to make new friends to interact with. Let me know what you think of these ideas and also post yours below! Hopefully Bungie will notice sometime in the future.
