100 marks doesn't cut it.

The weekly amount of vanguard/crucible marks should be atleast 200. Otherwise what are we supposed to do wait 2 weeks just to get a gun, or sparrow? Maybe make it 50 marks daily instead?

The caps have not benefited my experience in the least. They have only made me find frustrating ways of mitigating their negative impact. In other words, I've had to become painfully cognizant of the caps instead of focusing on the game. There's a system in place that removes me from the experience. If it isn't, that should be a universally frowned-upon practice in game design. The caps are a really good example of how Bungie isn't allowing us to play the game how we want to play it. We have to play it the way they want us to play it. If little Johnny Jumping Pants wants to do nothing but farm glimmer all day long, why not allow him the forum for that? If Johnny wants to sit on a mound of marks to buy a bunch of gear when the next DLC comes out, why not? Bungie wants us to continually buy new things, so if we're hitting the caps, we're not buying new things. Perhaps Bungie should offer interesting things for us to buy. Several other flaws of this game funnel into this one, such as, once we've obtained primary weapons with elemental damage, we have little reason to even consider vendor weapons. That implies problems with the rift between raid weapons and vendor/faction weapons, and even more, it implies problems with the vendor offerings, which are wholly irrelevant for end-game content. If the tools we can buy are but stepping stones, what is to sustain us in this intended cycle of purchasing?

  • Can't let you move too fast or you'll realize how vacuous the game actually is.

  • bungie have heard complaints about the Mark cap since forever,, they have decided to ignore it, they like it the way it is and will not be changing it. It is how they keep people tethered, players are left hanging on to complete something and by the time they do they are close to getting something else, so they hang on again... it is a treadmill.

    • Yes, you are supposed to wait. That's the whole point of caps Why would anybody buy a sparrow for 175 marks unless they have no other use for marks.

        • That's exactly what Bungie wants you to do. They put these caps in place to keep you in the game longer since content, or lack of, is too weak.

        • Yeah it's pretty stupid considering how if you want to buy some armor, none of which is that great, you have to wait around 3 weeks. They could raise the marks cap to 500 and raise the price of armor and weapons to say 100 for each armor piece so you need 400 marks for a whole set and 200 for weapons so you can buy two a week if you really grind for marks.
