Ascend Exotic, Raid, and Trials Weapons in TTK?
Can we get a simple yes or no if current weapons will be able to be ascended in The Taken King. Personally, I don't care about all legendaries, but I feel that there are 3 sets of weapons that should be ascendable:
1. Exotic weapons.
2. Raid weapons.
3. Trials of Osiris weapons.
The fate of your playerbase is dependent on this answer and many of us will not even consider staying with the game through TTK and beyond if we have to start completely over with crappy weapons. The grind to level 30 prior to The Dark Below was too much and you spent most of time with horrible weapons. I will not be doing that again.

1 ReplyI say we should be able to ascend anything in TTK. I would like some of the new fresh stuff, but sometimes prefer the old gears just because. I feel Bungie shouldn't force us to toss out our old gear just cause they think it's out dated or whatever the reason is. We as players should feel legendary of the stuff we grind for so that the new players can admire us and be like, "Damn I wonder where he got that piece of armor". You get the point. If they choose to not give us the option to ascend our old gear then all of the hours of grinding for that sweet armor or weapon would have been a waste of time. I don't know about that 10 year plan if this the rate that they're going at.

1 ReplyI can live with out the raid and trails gear (don't have any trails gear any way hate that game type) but if at the very least exotics are not upgraded able I will not be buying TTK. Still waiting only about month and half left and still no word. Wonder if that's out fear of the answer bungie has because their afraid of another pr blow back this time that affects their profits.

I don't care how easy or hard it is to ascend them, I just want to know that it is possible. Even having to completely re-level them as was done in The Dark Below would be better than not being able to ascend them at all.
