Deep in the galaxy, there is a system by the name of Europa. A band of soldiers, mercenaries, and grizzled veterans drift through space going from mission to mission, aiming to rid the world of evil and get rich in the process. They are called Fireteam Cyprus, and ride through space on the Cyprus Cruiser.
History: The group had a rough time on Mars, fighting against armies, hostile wildlife, and inhuman beings. Not to mention the high tension and near all out war between certain members of the team. The crisis was averted by peaceful words and logical actions, these ideas would usually be Murph's job to bring about, but he was alone on a planet called Zorada. He wandered, wondering if anyone would ever come for him, or if they wanted to, or if he even wanted them to, after his hostile actions, and the murder of a man named Felix. The crew (or most of them) however, shook it off, knowing he was not in his right mind when he did these things. They came after him, and we're now scouring the planet for him. Following different trails of evidence led the group to a large sinkhole, protected by a barrier. They were able to lift it by passing Trials, which they later learned were just tests made up by Providence to be sure they were prepared. They were moments away from getting through the barrier, yet they had no idea what they were stepping into...
After what seemed like forever, the group found Murph, only for him to be torn from them again, for the world had to be saved. Murph did not survive, and is now recorded as KIA.
The group moves on to what they hope are greener pastures. However, turns out they end up working for an old foe, Del Fino. Phantom is captured, and Minerva and Python are stranded on a nearby planet. With the Genesis out of play, Del Fino musters the strength to attack the Axion Cruiser. While they are recovering, Scout, an old friend now on the side of Del Fino, is found lurking the ship. She is captured and interrogated, and the team now prepares a full scale attack to finish Del Fino once and for all, and rescue Phantom in the process.
The rescue did not go as planned, losing many members, including Python and Phantom, leaving Minerva as the last surviving Genesis. Feeling alone, she soon fled from the team, and was not found for long after. Her fleeing caused strife within the Axion mercenaries, along with the loss of their role models and leaders, and eventually led to it being disbanded.
------------------------------------------
10 Years Later...
After the loss of the Genesis, (Minerva missing and the others presumed dead) the Axion crew fell apart. However, a new team began to form, gathered by the same allure of treasure and adventure that once gripped the members of Exalin and Axion.
Once the team had gathered on the Cyprus cruiser, they located a base used by the Exalin team long ago. They found clues pointing to the existence of Genesis, but we're soon distracted by a mission requiring them to investigate a destroyed city. They found the creature that did it, and eliminated it. Or so they thought...
Stuff happened that OP has no idea about because he was afk. Feel free to PM a short summary of this section of the story if you have time.
Bored, most of the team look into jobs at the bounty board. One job sparks an interest in something bigger... Joshua and Vilnaks return with a hostage, reporting that a group of mercs was sent to retrieve information and possibly eliminate Cyprus. Out of leads, they continue to work on the case of the biggest assassination of the decade. They discover many pieces of evidence pointing to Genesis. But not just one, all of them. The group is stumped. Before they can think of a new plan, a large missile tears the Cyprus out of the sky. The ship's pieces land scattered, separating the crew into smaller groups. They are forced to fight harsh conditions, scavenge for food, and even build their own shelter in some cases. They wonder who's doing the ship's destruction was, and why the planet was deserted. Soon they found themselves fighting antimatter copies of the Genesis, and Minerva. After a long and hard battle, Minerva is struck down after activating all limiters at once. She is left to bleed out as the crew leaves, finding a new cruiser and claiming their reward after confirming Minerva was the assassin.
After drifting for what seemed like no longer than a few hours, but was in reality probably a few days, the crew gets reports of massive rocks called "Leviathans" crashing into planets, destroying most of them with the initial impact, then spreading a blue crystal that gives off an extremely powerful radiation called Phazon. The remaining people on these planets began to rise and mutate beyond recognition. Reports also came in saying Minerva was spotted attacking multiple GF bases. Perhaps the Phazon had gripped her. Seeing that stakes were higher than ever before, Cyprus convinces the GF to release Phantom temporarily, and he is convinced to create an entire second wave of Genesis supersoldiers. Even with their new upgrades, Cyprus still struggled to face the beasts they encountered, the Broodmothers, the Beserkers, each nigh impossible to kill and creating more with every victory. The crew is lucky to find someone immune to the virus, the name for the immunity and manipulation of Phazon later coined as Phazite. Her name was Tanya. Python spent too much time near her, exposing himself to the infection, and killing three: the Spartan Jackie, a high ranking officer of the ship, and his own wife, A'Karo. He fled soon after, with his wife's body.
I went super duper afk and missed like 3 arcs.
The group wanders, somewhat wondering what it would be like to have a real home again, like the empire, and not just some ship that'll crash next time they get near a big bad guy. They finally think of an idea that was hiding in plain sight, the Old Empire itself. Despite its destruction and abandonment, the team sets a course, determined to retake their home. Once there, they are ambushed by a massive Dread force, and sacrifice themselves to eliminate the Dread once and for all.
The Federation and Rebels have a war. The Federation wins(?).
A new team, The Infinite Pioneers, are assembled at Crux. They soon become the first humans to leave the Milky Way, exploring a brand new galaxy where mankind had never been before. They are attacked by some pirates after trespassing into their space, and some are taken to fight in an arena. Those taken manage to escape back to the Infinity.
Bounty Board
The bounty board contains missions and jobs. Three are added each time it updates. These jobs can be tackled together or alone, unless specified by the bounty. Bounties can be done at any time, despite the crew's situation, as bounties are placed in a time where the crew isn't busy. Bounties will have little to no effect on the main story (other than the money) unless marked as important.
Manually Input Bounties:
"Get the Bounty Board working."
Reward: "Bounties."
Placed By: Calleach
Details:
Three small metal beams sit beside the board, used for linking a location to the board. When placed, they will self-construct a beacon for bounty placement.
There are three nearby planets with intelligent life within range of gunship flight.
The first, a volcanic planet with large rock creatures who, while being durable and able to survive in the hot conditions, are definitely a stretch on the word "intelligent".
The second, the planet from before, with the ability to reconstitute metals. They seem both smart and friendly, and much could be to gain by linking them into the board. -TAKEN BY AVELINE
The third, a very earth-like planet with somewhat human-like entities, much taller, and much more primitive. They fight amongst themselves a lot, and there seem to be many tribes. Finding safe, neutral ground to place the beacon would be extremely beneficial, but may be challenging as well.

Through the efforts of Silver, Icier, Mercury, and Zero, the Federation fleet responsible for the near complete destruction of the rebel forces on Crux was almost completely destroyed. Only one ship remained: the Flagship of their fleet. Overture: Helios, Imperial HQ Phaedrus had been too late to stop Hallwinter from activating the codes, and even now Fed sensors detected installations reactivating galaxy-wide. Still, his fleets continued to hammer the evacuating Imperial ships, and Helios reverberated with the sound of dying cruisers. He didn't want to think of the consequences of an Imperial victory, not now, at least. Right now, he simply wanted revenge. And he was so, very close to Hallwinter. Igniting his plasma blade, he rushes into the control room, his armor deflecting plasma rounds as of they were cotton balls. The first soldier gets slashed across the chest, and the second has his own shot reflected back into his head, melting his abdomen. Using TK, he pries the elevator doors open, and leaps down the shaft, all the way to the bottom...

Thankfully, the two mercenaries had never questioned legitimacy the physical currency he had given them, and the tracking devices installed on them had confirmed his suspicions: Hallwinter, and the Imperial Remnants, were all on Helios, that infernal wintery hell of a planet. If Hallwinter could make it safely to the base, then he could input the codes to activate Imperial systems on a galactic scale, and both the Federation and Rebellion forces could be annihilated within minutes. If the Federation was to win this battle, they would do so before the Empire had the chance to strike. And he would cut the head off of the snake. (Closed)

Take them out, quick!" A light tap-tap-tap of her dark boots and she hurries over to the oven, frantically opening the reflective black door at her friend's call. It was largely the same every time. Always something nice, peaceful, fun. Always friendly and happy. Yet, it always ended. The pages were torn, the screen faded black, there was no final chapter for Rose Ebonheart. The door opens to unleash the monster from its chain, the boney creature rose to several meters above her, draping her already tiny body with darkness. The embodiment of the hammer of war and death, loss and hatred, selfishness and greed. A Tyranid was usually the monster, but it stood for much more, it was a metaphorical design within itself. She could feel it, even when the view shifted to the falling rose petal, even when she could feel the pain, the lashes and knarling teeth cross her limbs, her skin being torn and flesh rended, even through the nightmare, even when all she could see was the petal, rivers of blood flowing around and under it. Throughout the unbearable suffering she felt, Rose was never blessed with the final blow. The petal eventually would flow along the same path as the crunches started, when the view again turned, as if she was trying to look up, when she could just start to make out Veronica's features finally, when she could start to remember her again, when she could see her friend was glad Rose was gone, but the screen would always fade black. There was no final chapter. The memories always escaped her grasp the instant they came to existence, she would never remember, never find the peace her unconscious mind sought. It was at this point that she always woke up. The lashing she was given every night never attained a level of normalcy, it always scared her, it always caught her off guard, it always hurt, more than falling from the tree she decided to rest in while she watched the stars pass, more than the thump of her right arm at the end of a several meter drop. Rose was still reeling from the predation her mind still thought was real to care about a broken arm. It felt like an hour, it may have been a whole hour, but she finally pulls herself to a sitting position. It was just the arm that hurt now, if her thoughts weren't countable. Mud and twigs adorned the right side of her body, even part of her dark, crimson-tipped hair. She doesn't even bother wiping herself down, just places her left palm over the pain in her arm and feels the scarlet aura whisk it away into a warm, cozy feeling. Her arm mends itself quickly, but she kept her hand at its job, before slowly sliding it up to her face, silver eyes closed. She could feel her thoughts calm, the memory of the dream recede. The teenage vessel of abandonment wanted it all gone, to never have to think again, to never have to face it again. Being addicted to it was a blessing and a curse. It always worked, using that particular ability brought her back to not having to think, to remember. She liked it, needed it, even though it was more like autopilot, she didn't even understand what she did while within her synoptic innocence. Thus, Rose Ebonheart forgot all her woes. She returned to the little girl she was, and hopped up to her feet, brushing herself off with a look of shock that such muddy things could mar her precious hood. Mud quickly coated her hands, which she shook uselessly in an attempt to throw off. Instead, it flicked up to splat on her nose. Rose cracks up into uncontrollable giggles after a pause, finding it absolutely hilarious for some unforeseeable reason.

An Empire to Last the Night: Helios Hallwinter opened his eyes and stretched, adjusting to the blistering light of the fire. The fine lids on his eyes had already polarized his surroundings for him, yet waking up from a crash was hardly a pleasant experience, even for a Choran. The ship, if it could be called that, had been shot down by Imperial SAM missiles, and through some miracle, had made it to the surface relatively intact. The crumbled ruins were ablaze with plasmatic fire, yet Ginger's armor largely protected him from the flame, and the heat didn't bother him in the least. However, the cockpit had crumbled upon landing, and the durasteel playing had cut a large gash in his shoulder. Golden ichor seeped out of the wound, and stained his void-black armor. Edited by Python824: 2/11/2016 2:31:37 AMLord of the World Oberon, above the Hand of Judgement... A ship hovers over the Federation cruiser, small, but with a massive and powerful array of weapons. It hovered there for multiple minutes, coming close to half an hour. A voice spoke, one that was strong and hearty. "We're over the drop zone. You sure you can make this?" One that was distorted, yet human responded, obviously having a sense of humor. "If I don't, tell you mother she was great last night." The first voice seemed to chuckle, it was scratchy and hard to discern as a chuckle, but it was one. Clunk Clunk Clunk The ship rocked with those sounds, a man looking off the ship and down at his target. He smiled and jumped, hurtling towards his target. He balled up, like a cannonball and seemed to enlarge, until people on the ground watched in horror... The ship hovered there, a mobile base for the Feds. Civilains, soldiers and POWs were in it alike, all doing what they would normally do. Little did they know what was about to happen. The man continued to fly towards his target, as he broke the atmosphere. He was clouded in fire, looking like a meteor as he smashed into the ship. He had hit the engines, and the ship went nose up, back down, cracking in the middle. The impact. The impact of the man was enough to knock everyone off their feet and onto the ground. Most of the people near the engines died instantly as the man went through the cruiser. The ship began to fall... The man, once through the ship began to shrink. He hit the ground, causing a massive sound wave that broke all glass for a mile. The ground shook when he hit. A building even fell. Through the dust, two glowing, red eyes show, looking purely evil. The ship came down in flames behind the eyes, lighting up the city. Buildings fell, people died, and the ground shook. Screams and blood flooded people's senses, their footing was gone, soldiers and civilians were dying left and right. He stood, towering over anyone near him. Two, massive turrets deployed from his shoulders and spun up, opening fire. They mowed down anyone they could hit, the only survivors were the ones that he couldn't see or the ones that were behind cover...
Open to those on Oberon...
On an eternally distant planet, in an eternally distant universe, and an eternally distant time... A man sits in a small room. An inn maybe? He is shrouded be a large cloak, mostly black, with a few dark purple highlights. There are no light bulbs, or any sense of technology whatsoever within the room. The only source of light, and very dim one at that, is a small candle on a crude wooden table. The man paced silently for a few moments, looking over the table. There was a small book, perhaps even a tome, etched into its front was a symbol resembling a pentagram, but not exactly alike. The color of both covers was quite similar to those on the mysterious man's garb. To the left of the time lie a wooden bowl, a decorative, yet still sharp stone dagger, and multiple herbs. To the right was a scroll, written in an incomprehensible language, held down by an ink well and a stone. The man sits on a short wooden stool, directly in front of the table, gazing at the straw bed to his right for a moment before focusing his vision. [???] "Okay... Okay. You got this." A few moments pass, as he looks as if he is straining to listen. [???] *grumbles* "We have this..." He looks towards the scroll. Unintelligible text lines the entire left side, and the bottom right. The top right portrays a hooded figure atop a horse, wielding a scythe. The scroll seems to be written on something very outdated... Animal hide perhaps? This artifact was surely ancient. [???] "What is a... A caption?" He grabs his head in pain, then points to the bottom right portion of text. [???] "This part?" "Okay... I- it says something about eqītùm mortêm..." He clutches his head with both hands, and a thin stream of blood drips from his nose. "YES! I'll translate... Just stop yelling..." "The horseman of death... This etching is... The real thing." "The rest? I'll get right on it..."
closed.
