Deep in the galaxy, there is a system by the name of Europa. A band of soldiers, mercenaries, and grizzled veterans drift through space going from mission to mission, aiming to rid the world of evil and get rich in the process. They are called Fireteam Cyprus, and ride through space on the Cyprus Cruiser.
History: The group had a rough time on Mars, fighting against armies, hostile wildlife, and inhuman beings. Not to mention the high tension and near all out war between certain members of the team. The crisis was averted by peaceful words and logical actions, these ideas would usually be Murph's job to bring about, but he was alone on a planet called Zorada. He wandered, wondering if anyone would ever come for him, or if they wanted to, or if he even wanted them to, after his hostile actions, and the murder of a man named Felix. The crew (or most of them) however, shook it off, knowing he was not in his right mind when he did these things. They came after him, and we're now scouring the planet for him. Following different trails of evidence led the group to a large sinkhole, protected by a barrier. They were able to lift it by passing Trials, which they later learned were just tests made up by Providence to be sure they were prepared. They were moments away from getting through the barrier, yet they had no idea what they were stepping into...
After what seemed like forever, the group found Murph, only for him to be torn from them again, for the world had to be saved. Murph did not survive, and is now recorded as KIA.
The group moves on to what they hope are greener pastures. However, turns out they end up working for an old foe, Del Fino. Phantom is captured, and Minerva and Python are stranded on a nearby planet. With the Genesis out of play, Del Fino musters the strength to attack the Axion Cruiser. While they are recovering, Scout, an old friend now on the side of Del Fino, is found lurking the ship. She is captured and interrogated, and the team now prepares a full scale attack to finish Del Fino once and for all, and rescue Phantom in the process.
The rescue did not go as planned, losing many members, including Python and Phantom, leaving Minerva as the last surviving Genesis. Feeling alone, she soon fled from the team, and was not found for long after. Her fleeing caused strife within the Axion mercenaries, along with the loss of their role models and leaders, and eventually led to it being disbanded.
------------------------------------------
10 Years Later...
After the loss of the Genesis, (Minerva missing and the others presumed dead) the Axion crew fell apart. However, a new team began to form, gathered by the same allure of treasure and adventure that once gripped the members of Exalin and Axion.
Once the team had gathered on the Cyprus cruiser, they located a base used by the Exalin team long ago. They found clues pointing to the existence of Genesis, but we're soon distracted by a mission requiring them to investigate a destroyed city. They found the creature that did it, and eliminated it. Or so they thought...
Stuff happened that OP has no idea about because he was afk. Feel free to PM a short summary of this section of the story if you have time.
Bored, most of the team look into jobs at the bounty board. One job sparks an interest in something bigger... Joshua and Vilnaks return with a hostage, reporting that a group of mercs was sent to retrieve information and possibly eliminate Cyprus. Out of leads, they continue to work on the case of the biggest assassination of the decade. They discover many pieces of evidence pointing to Genesis. But not just one, all of them. The group is stumped. Before they can think of a new plan, a large missile tears the Cyprus out of the sky. The ship's pieces land scattered, separating the crew into smaller groups. They are forced to fight harsh conditions, scavenge for food, and even build their own shelter in some cases. They wonder who's doing the ship's destruction was, and why the planet was deserted. Soon they found themselves fighting antimatter copies of the Genesis, and Minerva. After a long and hard battle, Minerva is struck down after activating all limiters at once. She is left to bleed out as the crew leaves, finding a new cruiser and claiming their reward after confirming Minerva was the assassin.
After drifting for what seemed like no longer than a few hours, but was in reality probably a few days, the crew gets reports of massive rocks called "Leviathans" crashing into planets, destroying most of them with the initial impact, then spreading a blue crystal that gives off an extremely powerful radiation called Phazon. The remaining people on these planets began to rise and mutate beyond recognition. Reports also came in saying Minerva was spotted attacking multiple GF bases. Perhaps the Phazon had gripped her. Seeing that stakes were higher than ever before, Cyprus convinces the GF to release Phantom temporarily, and he is convinced to create an entire second wave of Genesis supersoldiers. Even with their new upgrades, Cyprus still struggled to face the beasts they encountered, the Broodmothers, the Beserkers, each nigh impossible to kill and creating more with every victory. The crew is lucky to find someone immune to the virus, the name for the immunity and manipulation of Phazon later coined as Phazite. Her name was Tanya. Python spent too much time near her, exposing himself to the infection, and killing three: the Spartan Jackie, a high ranking officer of the ship, and his own wife, A'Karo. He fled soon after, with his wife's body.
I went super duper afk and missed like 3 arcs.
The group wanders, somewhat wondering what it would be like to have a real home again, like the empire, and not just some ship that'll crash next time they get near a big bad guy. They finally think of an idea that was hiding in plain sight, the Old Empire itself. Despite its destruction and abandonment, the team sets a course, determined to retake their home. Once there, they are ambushed by a massive Dread force, and sacrifice themselves to eliminate the Dread once and for all.
The Federation and Rebels have a war. The Federation wins(?).
A new team, The Infinite Pioneers, are assembled at Crux. They soon become the first humans to leave the Milky Way, exploring a brand new galaxy where mankind had never been before. They are attacked by some pirates after trespassing into their space, and some are taken to fight in an arena. Those taken manage to escape back to the Infinity.
Bounty Board
The bounty board contains missions and jobs. Three are added each time it updates. These jobs can be tackled together or alone, unless specified by the bounty. Bounties can be done at any time, despite the crew's situation, as bounties are placed in a time where the crew isn't busy. Bounties will have little to no effect on the main story (other than the money) unless marked as important.
Manually Input Bounties:
"Get the Bounty Board working."
Reward: "Bounties."
Placed By: Calleach
Details:
Three small metal beams sit beside the board, used for linking a location to the board. When placed, they will self-construct a beacon for bounty placement.
There are three nearby planets with intelligent life within range of gunship flight.
The first, a volcanic planet with large rock creatures who, while being durable and able to survive in the hot conditions, are definitely a stretch on the word "intelligent".
The second, the planet from before, with the ability to reconstitute metals. They seem both smart and friendly, and much could be to gain by linking them into the board. -TAKEN BY AVELINE
The third, a very earth-like planet with somewhat human-like entities, much taller, and much more primitive. They fight amongst themselves a lot, and there seem to be many tribes. Finding safe, neutral ground to place the beacon would be extremely beneficial, but may be challenging as well.

Edited by Python824: 1/17/2016 5:11:38 AMMay They Forever Rest In Peace Empire Ruins-Earth Python had gotten the voices to leave, he was returning to normal, or what he called normal. The voices were gone, except his own, which was always scolding him for all the wrong he's done. It would all end today... He walked down the main street, the one with the capital building on it. Python looked at the building. It was there that he had joined the army illegally when he was 17. He smiled. Good times....I was young, restless and brave. Or foolhardy. I dunno... He turned away, seeing his old home when he lived here, it was in ruins, collapsing from age, weathering and the bombs they had dropped here. Python walked towards the home and entered, grabbing a white object off the floor, about the size of a head. The helmet from his original armor set had survived all these years. He turned it in his hands, smiling and walked out, holding it. That's when the invasion began. The fight to end all his. To put a permanent cage around the beast. The monster. The rage that dwelled inside him. The Dread. They had killed him before, but he had come back. Never surrender, never wave the white flag. Keep the gun higher than that flag. His father's words the day he died. In the hospital. He was a war hero, honorably discharged after he survived a gunshot to his left lung, scraping his heart just enough. That was one of the saddest days of his life. But it was also one of the best. It's what turned him into the soldier he is now. A killing machine and nothing more. It was a great job, he loved it. The way blood felt when it dripped off his hands. The ships rained fire, soldiers and bombs alike. This was it. Python knew. This would be his last stand. He took out a small device from his back pocket. There was no one near him so he smiled, remembering the days when he played baseball, outfield as he reeled back and quickly shot his arm forward, launching the device past the fleet, into space and it kept traveling, space giving no resistance. He looked at the enemies in front of him and nodded, pulling his pistols. The shotgun was gone, stolen by someone, probably that Anasi woman while he was sleeping. He had his sword however. And he wanted to die with that on him, a symbol of his greatest achievement. The first poor Berserker that stepped in front off him was ripped apart by the fury of his pistols and Vulcans like he was paper. The battle continued that way for a while, until Python ran out of ammunition and drew his sword. Right around the corner...almost there. He fought the best he could, until the sword snapped. He resorted to his fists, punching down Broodmothers, Berserkers and a new breed of Dread, Destroyers. They were designed off Python himself. Made of pure metal and rage, they made Berserkers look weak. Python beat them down however, forcing them back until he met his greatest challenge. The one that would be his end. The General. An evil, twisted smile stole the emotionless face of the General, as he drew his axe. The General spoke first, his personal guard of Destroyers behind him. "I've waited for this fight for a long time." "I've longed for your blood to spill by my hands." Python smiled with that remark. "This will be my end, this will be your end. Our stories will be written by a survivor. I don't know who will hold the pen, but someone will remember this." With that, he dove at the General, bare handed and let out a mighty, roar that shook even the fearless Destroyers around him. He began to beat the General to bits, using his own axe against him. The General shoved Python off him and the Destroyers moved him, starting to dig their massive, metal arms into his chest, knowing his weakness. His reactor. They were wrong. That was his strongest weapon. The one that would end it all. Python smiled as the reaction began, starting with a red ball that ate at their fingers then at his chest. His reactor had been ruptured. The explosion went off, ending the warrior that once changed history and it's way to be written. The Dread went down with him, along with the planet. Earth was swallowed up, by this red mass, them chewed to bits in a horrible, disturbing way in a black hole, then spit back out through the same black hole. Nothing survived....but two small objects. The two things that survived would live on as his legacy, the device he had thrown and his helmet. Built strong, the helmet would endure another thousand years at least. The device, was a tape. An ancient device used before the Empire. He had found it one day as a child and used it on the original Exalin carrier to send out a message. This is how it played.
He sat there, on his bed. He looked like he had originally. He spoke, his voice higher than when he joined the new team. "If you're seeing this, I'm dead. Gone. Hopefully. Phantom, I swear if you're watching this, I'm gonna kill you." He chuckled a bit and lit a cigar, sitting in front of the camera. "This is my version of a legacy. Just know, before you found this, I was a murderer, a killer for hire. And damn good one." He puffed the cigar and smiled. "I'm a Genesis. We don't die on our knees or in our beds. We are unstoppable until the end. My end was with a big boom. I hope I didn't take my friends with me. If I had any kids, and you're watching this, I love you guys. Keep fighting no matter what. Just like your father, and his father before him." He looked down at the floor then back up at the camera, having some difficulty making this video. When he looked back at the camera, Python's face hardened. "My name is Thomas Weiss, aka Python. I was a Methodist, I lived in the Empire, fought for the Empire and went down with one Hell of a fight. I was the first Genesis, an operation made by my friend, Phantom. He turned me into the metal being you see. I can't thank him enough for it." Python puts his cigar out on the ashtray next to him. "I'm sure once this team disbands, I'll just get a new one. But nothing will ever beat my first team. If you're watching this, a hundred years, two hundred years, Hell, maybe a thousand years into the future, just remember that war isn't fun, it's scary. Push past it, push through it and keep going. Your momentum will give you all the power you need." Python smiled at the camera once more and turned it off, going to party with his original team.

Closed. Rip Python
Part I: Welcome to TalonCo. The Party's ships arrive at the station, having met up earlier through radio, and accompanying each other to the designated area— after all, the suspicious nature of the measure calls for an extra hand. Four extra hands certainly didn't hurt. You exit Hyper-Space and are met by the sight of a large, grey rock— obviously a moon. What's odd about this moon is that it's encircled by a thick, washer-like ring, which becomes thicker in height the closer to the center it gets. Along the outer edge, you witness several large rectangular plates— most of them are broken, and others seem to be absent, as if torn off. Only a single one seems to be functional as it continues to rotate its path along the edge. Not Again... Empire Ruins-Earth Was it going to happen again? Was Corruption just the beginning of this cycle? Let's hope not.... Python looked around at the inside of the old capital building. That...gas had gotten in after he spoke with Phantom. Ever since, he had felt...different. Maybe happier? It had been a long time since he was really happy. The building was cracked an old, crumbling and covered in moss. It was falling apart, half had already tumbled to the ground, leaving a massive pile of rubble next to half a standing building. Even then, the windows had all been smashed, the door had collapsed. At least the explosives did their job... Python thought that as he slowly picked away at the door. After about ten minutes, he was through. There was enough space for a man of his size to climb through. He looked around, seeing what he expected. Cracked and broken walls, a room had caved in and the obvious open side of the building. He shook his head, seeing the building he once saw as a place of hope and justice in pieces was...heartbreaking to say the least. He felt a strange tingle at the back of his mind, as if something was wrong. He should've listened to that feeling....
Open to Jenny only
The Beginning... Empire Ruins Python stared down at the planet below him. This was it. His beginning. This is where it had all started, the Empire. He flew down to the surface of the world, looking for the ruins of the legendary city. Massive and in ruins, they had blown up the buildings at the end of the of the Empire. The feast was good, the people were friendly, the sun was shining, it was hard to be sad on that day, yet he was. Everyone was. They had gotten the civilians out before blowing the city to smithereens. He landed near the old military base, it was smashed and in pieces. He walked down the street, having flashbacks about his time there. Growing up, he had always loved the Empire. It was his home, his family lived there. Sure, they were gone by now but it was a good memory. He soon came upon the hospital he was born in, a sad sight, seeing his birthplace in ruins. Python shook his head and continued walking. Eventually he came up on the capital building. Getting on comms, he spoke, looking around at his surroundings. "Phantom, I found it."
Open to Jenny and Phantom...the Empire will be up soon...just....free it, I guess....
Edited by Xeno: 1/3/2016 7:22:52 PMAn armored suit flies into the ship through the hangar bay. The suit then retracts into a bracer on the wearers right wrist. The wearer is a man that stands at 6'1 with a slim and slightly muscular build. He looks to be in his late 20s with a clean shaven face with short black swept back hair and grey eyes. He has a grey hoodie with blue jeans and red converse shoes. He walks over casually to a terminal and plugs a hard drive in it as he cracks his knuckles. "Alright, Friday, work your magic. Or, let me, work my, magic. Or, both of our, magics can-ok shutting up." He starts to type away as he sings quietly. "Hacking hacking hacking, I am hacking into stuff. Hacking hacking hacking." He continues to do this, obviously seeing things he shouldn't.
open
