Deep in the galaxy, there is a system by the name of Europa. A band of soldiers, mercenaries, and grizzled veterans drift through space going from mission to mission, aiming to rid the world of evil and get rich in the process. They are called Fireteam Cyprus, and ride through space on the Cyprus Cruiser.
History: The group had a rough time on Mars, fighting against armies, hostile wildlife, and inhuman beings. Not to mention the high tension and near all out war between certain members of the team. The crisis was averted by peaceful words and logical actions, these ideas would usually be Murph's job to bring about, but he was alone on a planet called Zorada. He wandered, wondering if anyone would ever come for him, or if they wanted to, or if he even wanted them to, after his hostile actions, and the murder of a man named Felix. The crew (or most of them) however, shook it off, knowing he was not in his right mind when he did these things. They came after him, and we're now scouring the planet for him. Following different trails of evidence led the group to a large sinkhole, protected by a barrier. They were able to lift it by passing Trials, which they later learned were just tests made up by Providence to be sure they were prepared. They were moments away from getting through the barrier, yet they had no idea what they were stepping into...
After what seemed like forever, the group found Murph, only for him to be torn from them again, for the world had to be saved. Murph did not survive, and is now recorded as KIA.
The group moves on to what they hope are greener pastures. However, turns out they end up working for an old foe, Del Fino. Phantom is captured, and Minerva and Python are stranded on a nearby planet. With the Genesis out of play, Del Fino musters the strength to attack the Axion Cruiser. While they are recovering, Scout, an old friend now on the side of Del Fino, is found lurking the ship. She is captured and interrogated, and the team now prepares a full scale attack to finish Del Fino once and for all, and rescue Phantom in the process.
The rescue did not go as planned, losing many members, including Python and Phantom, leaving Minerva as the last surviving Genesis. Feeling alone, she soon fled from the team, and was not found for long after. Her fleeing caused strife within the Axion mercenaries, along with the loss of their role models and leaders, and eventually led to it being disbanded.
------------------------------------------
10 Years Later...
After the loss of the Genesis, (Minerva missing and the others presumed dead) the Axion crew fell apart. However, a new team began to form, gathered by the same allure of treasure and adventure that once gripped the members of Exalin and Axion.
Once the team had gathered on the Cyprus cruiser, they located a base used by the Exalin team long ago. They found clues pointing to the existence of Genesis, but we're soon distracted by a mission requiring them to investigate a destroyed city. They found the creature that did it, and eliminated it. Or so they thought...
Stuff happened that OP has no idea about because he was afk. Feel free to PM a short summary of this section of the story if you have time.
Bored, most of the team look into jobs at the bounty board. One job sparks an interest in something bigger... Joshua and Vilnaks return with a hostage, reporting that a group of mercs was sent to retrieve information and possibly eliminate Cyprus. Out of leads, they continue to work on the case of the biggest assassination of the decade. They discover many pieces of evidence pointing to Genesis. But not just one, all of them. The group is stumped. Before they can think of a new plan, a large missile tears the Cyprus out of the sky. The ship's pieces land scattered, separating the crew into smaller groups. They are forced to fight harsh conditions, scavenge for food, and even build their own shelter in some cases. They wonder who's doing the ship's destruction was, and why the planet was deserted. Soon they found themselves fighting antimatter copies of the Genesis, and Minerva. After a long and hard battle, Minerva is struck down after activating all limiters at once. She is left to bleed out as the crew leaves, finding a new cruiser and claiming their reward after confirming Minerva was the assassin.
After drifting for what seemed like no longer than a few hours, but was in reality probably a few days, the crew gets reports of massive rocks called "Leviathans" crashing into planets, destroying most of them with the initial impact, then spreading a blue crystal that gives off an extremely powerful radiation called Phazon. The remaining people on these planets began to rise and mutate beyond recognition. Reports also came in saying Minerva was spotted attacking multiple GF bases. Perhaps the Phazon had gripped her. Seeing that stakes were higher than ever before, Cyprus convinces the GF to release Phantom temporarily, and he is convinced to create an entire second wave of Genesis supersoldiers. Even with their new upgrades, Cyprus still struggled to face the beasts they encountered, the Broodmothers, the Beserkers, each nigh impossible to kill and creating more with every victory. The crew is lucky to find someone immune to the virus, the name for the immunity and manipulation of Phazon later coined as Phazite. Her name was Tanya. Python spent too much time near her, exposing himself to the infection, and killing three: the Spartan Jackie, a high ranking officer of the ship, and his own wife, A'Karo. He fled soon after, with his wife's body.
I went super duper afk and missed like 3 arcs.
The group wanders, somewhat wondering what it would be like to have a real home again, like the empire, and not just some ship that'll crash next time they get near a big bad guy. They finally think of an idea that was hiding in plain sight, the Old Empire itself. Despite its destruction and abandonment, the team sets a course, determined to retake their home. Once there, they are ambushed by a massive Dread force, and sacrifice themselves to eliminate the Dread once and for all.
The Federation and Rebels have a war. The Federation wins(?).
A new team, The Infinite Pioneers, are assembled at Crux. They soon become the first humans to leave the Milky Way, exploring a brand new galaxy where mankind had never been before. They are attacked by some pirates after trespassing into their space, and some are taken to fight in an arena. Those taken manage to escape back to the Infinity.
Bounty Board
The bounty board contains missions and jobs. Three are added each time it updates. These jobs can be tackled together or alone, unless specified by the bounty. Bounties can be done at any time, despite the crew's situation, as bounties are placed in a time where the crew isn't busy. Bounties will have little to no effect on the main story (other than the money) unless marked as important.
Manually Input Bounties:
"Get the Bounty Board working."
Reward: "Bounties."
Placed By: Calleach
Details:
Three small metal beams sit beside the board, used for linking a location to the board. When placed, they will self-construct a beacon for bounty placement.
There are three nearby planets with intelligent life within range of gunship flight.
The first, a volcanic planet with large rock creatures who, while being durable and able to survive in the hot conditions, are definitely a stretch on the word "intelligent".
The second, the planet from before, with the ability to reconstitute metals. They seem both smart and friendly, and much could be to gain by linking them into the board. -TAKEN BY AVELINE
The third, a very earth-like planet with somewhat human-like entities, much taller, and much more primitive. They fight amongst themselves a lot, and there seem to be many tribes. Finding safe, neutral ground to place the beacon would be extremely beneficial, but may be challenging as well.

Edited by General Percival: 2/5/2016 4:27:25 AMAlliance world, Ellison theta The world had originally been split right down the middle. When the alliance invaded the federation under false pretenses the garrison had held on. The world had been quite until now, secretly the Feds had been reinforcing it, now the seventh army stood ready to strike into the enemy and make them pay for the blood of every federation solider and civilian their attacks killed. Major volkov rallied his men with a speech, they broke through the wall splitting the capital city and advanced. The enemy was waiting and fought well, but they didn't have the numbers the Feds did, so with the equipment on par numbers and fighting skill won the day. The Feds had a lot of both. Ghosts in the Storm, in the Crowd and in Your House... Archon-Far Eastern Hemisphere "Stay hidden, don't be afraid to hunt. Kill what you can and must, not what you want." The team of thirty rebel soldiers stepped off the stealth transport and onto the ground. Mountains surrounded them, a small lake was nearby, good hunting grounds a bit farther north. They were in a good spot, very good... "Lucy, get that turret up and running. I don't want to be gunned down in my sleep." The woman chuckled a bit as she started to deploy the turret. After it was done, she went on about her life in the mountain, getting food, water, anything they could use up there. Their mission was to watch out for any sort of Federation return force and relay the information back to Spectre. They lived in a cave, cooking their food inside the cave with a fire for weeks, watching and waiting, for the Feds to return to Archon....

Edited by Trashcan Jesus: 2/5/2016 3:42:51 AMBrave New World Contested Territory, Outer Rim World The figure materialized outside of the city, standing atop a slight rise in the terrain. His cloak blew calmly in the breeze, and he remained still. On his back, a sword and an assault rifle, at his hips, two magnums. On his left leg, a bowie knife sat fixed in a boot sheath, and on his shoulder, a khukri was prominently visible. The armor was eerily familiar to that of the man who had once earned a reputation for ruthlessness across the dimension and several others. Some minor details had changed, for the figure now carried two regular bandoliers rather than two .50 caliber bullet belts. The mask the man wore was similar as well, identical in structure, different in paint scheme. The eyes still glowed an eerie blue, but the mask was all black, save for three wide gashes across the left side of the figure's face, the inside of which were bright white, made to look as if a skull was beneath the black. Across the left side of the mask, the words "FORGIVE ME MAMA" had been etched. No longer was the insignia of the cobra on the man's left shoulder pauldron, no longer were the cards on his right. All he bore were the same old Marine Corps dog tags, and two new insignia, that of a rook chess piece, and that of a howling wolf. This place was new and alien to him, but at least here there would be opportunity.

The twitching stopped, the corpse froze and shrunk into death. He did it. He had avenged his friends. Erik's hulking, grey mass stopped its stirring. Erik, one of Eldritch's and his friends old comrade, had been corrupted by the Clerics, and became a beast. Eldritch's breathing was labored, his blades bloodied, his helmet removed. He sighed, as his blades retracted into the sleeves of his trench coat. His knees buckled as he knelt next to his old friend, now a mindless beast. He put his gloved hand on Erik's chest. "Te videre in inferno." He muttered his teams slogan. See you in hell. They all knew they were going there, they weren't perfect. He got back up and looked at the ground, wondering what to do now. His teammates, Kroenen, Malekith, Minerva, Rosemary, and Guinevere, all slaughtered by Erik. Jon is lost in the Labyrinth of Nails, Fedrel was killed when he fell into the Abyss. And Radagast drowned in his own lack of sanity. Wait... Radagast! That's it! The Convergence could still be activated! His gaze turned to the large empty golden circle, the frame littered with gears. He had the key, he could unlock The Convergence. He reached into his pocket, and felt the key. He took it out and stared at it, it's rusted golden frame nearly breaking in his hands. He looked at the matching slot that the key goes in, and does so. The key shuddered and entered the slot with a creak. Gears started to whir and rust started to break. The empty space inside the large circle is replaced by a blue-purple vortex with flecks of white. He looked behind him, and saw his trademark helmet. He put it on, it's frame conforming to his head. He looked back at his friends, then to the portal. This was it. He would never see his world or friends again, and this new world he would enter. He knew it wasn't going to welcome him. He clenched his fists, and stepped into the portal. Meanwhile, the Alliance base was bustling with troops. In the center of it, a spark of energy emerged out of nowhere. Then followed by more and more, drawing everyone's eyes. It soon turned into a miniature thunderstorm. Soon, a flash of light blinded everyone witnessing the anomaly. When their eyesights returned, Eldritch stood there, up straight. He looked around, observing and taking everything in.
Intro for second character. Open.
The Corrupt will burn The trial had been a formality, the evidence and eyewitness testimony had been the nail in the corrupt politician's coffin. In exchange for his cooperation, he received a quick death. The names of other politicians who were also corrupt, involved in genocide, or other crimes. Those who confessed immediately were imprisoned, those who stood trial received a fair one. Those found guilty were made examples of, minor infractions were prison. Larger offense carried the death penalty. Firing squads did the work, the traitors were buried on a remote planet and left to rot. The message was clear, this kind of corruption and misuse of power was no longer going to be tolerated by the people of the Federation.

Federation Army Recruitment Facility The massive space station held a steady orbit in the Kepler-beta system. The utilitarian design and grey paint scheme marks it as federation build. Shuttles of recruits arrive at one part of the facility and soldiers leave another. Everything needed to train them is here. Holo rooms create realistic training environments, from mountains to cities. Training sergeants ensure high quality soldiers, loyal to their government, and to the people they serve. It is here those who wish to serve are delivered, or to a sister station in its respective sector. The arrival night, and it is night(they keep the lights off for full effect), is like nothing else, a training sergeant runs onto the shuttle and yells for the recruits to get off. They line up according to service, army, marines, navy, and militia/police. Each goes to its own special training area and learns the skills they need to be effective members of the federation military. For All Rebellion/Alliance Characters. If you aren't with either at this point (like Vaax), then just stay where you are and don't comment here. The short woman standing at the podium hardly seemed like any sort of military leader, much less a prominent one, yet Mara Tanaka was one of the premier Field Commanders of the Rebellion, who had recently been taken from behind Federation lines in a prison break. She had returned with files, important ones that could very well change the course of the war. She cleared her throat, and began to speak. "Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to thank you once again for ensuring my safety. As you already know, I had escaped with previously classified files, mostly on Fed movements and the like, but I've also collected some interesting information on a few particular phenomenon. First, there has been Federation movement on some sort of anomalous planet, which doesn't appear on any of our star maps... Or even theirs. However, they've clearly gathered some Intel on what they've been doing on this planet: attempting to reverse engineer Imperial bioweapons. We cannot, under any circumstances, allow them to have them. Secondly, we have received word that there has been a large bounty placed on a starship in the Outer Rim... By a Federation General. We know the Feds, they don't like using mercs unless they have to, so whoever this person is, we need to find them and bring them back alive. Who knows what they may have to offer. " She pauses here, "And lastly, I'd like to solidify our fears here for a second: even with Alliance backup, we cannot hope to win this kind of war, against this kind of force. We don't know the location of any Federation HQs, and we don't know the identities of any of their military leaders... Besides one. I'm sure you've all heard of the name Phaedrus before." Some muttering goes on in the crowd, "He is the epitome of what we fight against. He is cruel, cold, calculating, and utterly ruthless. Unfortunately, he's also brilliant, and one of the most inspirational Federation fighters. If we can take him out and bring him back, dead or alive, then we will have struck the Federation a significant blow. Normally, he'd be untouchable, but we have word that he was last sighted on the nearby planet of Helios, a planet that we recently recaptured. He's behind enemy lines, and vulnerable. Any questions?... Good. Sign ups for these missions are over by the weapon Kiosk. Dismissed." (Open. Sign up for the mission you'd like.

Spectre stands and walks away, getting glares from soldiers nearby. "Ladies, gentlemen, beings of undetermined sex, I didn't get much sleep last night. This isn't your fault, but you're going to pay for it." As the stations switch from cardiovascular exercises to muscular to weapon training, he grabs his sniper and lays down on the weapon range. He starts shooting, demolishing targets with one shot, the massive 80 cal round exploding the targets with little to no problem. He takes shot after shot, staying focused on the target. Aboard the SSN red October Major volkov and his men celebrated their victory and his promotion. He drank his shot of vodka and caught the major's rank with his teeth. He gently laid it on his dress uniform epaulettes. Had he let either fall he would have had to start over. They celebrated with more alcohol. The next day the major was nursing his hangover. The seventh fleet had standing orders to patrol the sector, one of the many people they were looking for was a quarian. He felt bad, this was clearly someone high up misusing power to settle some imagined slight. Had the man been here the major would have set him straight. The men of Volga tended to get away with such, as their loyalty and pride defined the fed.
