It's the best part of the entire game. It really kinda defines Destiny (or what it could/should be)

Not disputing that. Just challenging the rampant notion that people who haven't run VoG are somehow second class citizens. Not that the OP explicitly said that, but complaints about VoG newbies are rampant here.
-
People should have to do VoG to get 30, then CE for 32, and finally Trials or PoE for 34. Would make the game so much better for newbies.

Like never finding a group because the community is hopelessly fragmented? Sounds wonderful.

Lol Lgb? Will somehow lesbians, gays, an bisexuals help us find raid partners? ;D
-
How the -blam!- did i confuse a raid finder with a gay group...
-
I have plenty of friends, thanks.
-
Then it should be no problem to raid ^_^

What? I was challenging the foolish notion that new players should be forced to spend months gearing up in legacy content before they can join their friends.
-
But they are missing the best parts of the game.
-
So? World of Warcraft has been around 10 years. Should a new player be forced to run year one content in order to level? People suggested that then just as people suggest it now in Destiny. It would be terrible progression design because new players could never catch up.

The difference is there is next to butt-blam!- nothing to do in this game.
