The way I look at this "dlc/expansion" is that if bungie released something called destiny 2, they'd probably charge me retail price for a new game, a bit like destiny when it first came out. I think that set me back $60-70.
So if the expansion is only $40 and I have to buy more smaller dlc's, it probably works out to being the same. The bonus with this method is that I haven't had to play the original destiny from September 2014 until September 2015 like I would lots of other games.
I would have gotten bored a while ago if that were the case, bit like assassin's creed for instance.
Of course there are things I'd like to change but that is the case with most games that you buy. Nothing is perfect and that's the point. Anything bungie does to change the game sometimes makes it better and other times makes it worse.
TTK drops and I imagine it'll be like everything else. I'll play the story missions with 3 characters. I'll eventually get into doing the raid and depending on how quickly things drop, I'll either rank up real quick or real slow. The point is I'll still have everything I want long before the next dlc is released.
None of this is a disappointment cause I could have spread it out better and played it less often but over a longer period of time. That's just down to us as individuals.
