Here is what I entered for the year one competition, it seems to be floundering a bit on the boards at the moment ( not sure if that could have been done a little better but hey ho ) so I thought I'd post it here so you can take a look.
I have tried to depict the vault of glass (using a little artistic licence). The impossible angles and scape of the vast chamber containing Atheon and his minions seemed a fitting tribute to an exciting first year playing Destiny.
The cooperative aspect of the raid was the most thrilling aspect for me. Getting a few friends together, both old and new to attempt the mammoth task ahead back when we were all levels 27 and maybe 28. There was bickering (playing with two brothers will do that), there were also many deaths, but there was also a great sense of triumph and accomplishment from the teamwork and dedication to our purpose. When we finally downed Atheon after hours of working our way through the tasks set to us it was such a good feeling. I talked about it for days.
I hope I've done it justice with my humble effort. It was definitely a challenge for myself personally as I've never attempted a painting on quite this scale before. There are probably a few things I'd change in hindsight but it was a worthwhile endeavour nevertheless.
Please share your opinions and feedback. I'd like to see it. ;)
