OPs post is filled with so much garbage most people won't understand what he is trying to say. He believes that destiny doesn't use a balanced drop rate, that certain items (like hawkmoon in this case) have a lower multiplier. His example was if there was 10 exotics in the game, during a roll to get an exotic it would be 10% per each one, so statistically after getting 10 in a row it should be extremely rare to get the same exotics consistently without get some of the others first (I've gotten 7 hard lights in a row). In a weighted system the more rare items have a lower drop rate. So if the hawkmoon was the only weighted exotic at a 1% drop rate, the other 9 would have an 11% drop rate.
People also believe that the thunderlord and ghorn are among some other exotics that have lower drop %.
Here's the thing... We were never told that destiny doesn't have a weighted drop system, and for just about every game that I've played that uses drops, they utilize some system like this in order give items some feeling of rarity.
