What are your thoughts?
I would like to see what the community thinks and to see if bungie would start to put some perm bans into place (I don't know if they have already).
By cheating I mean anything from invincibility, teleporting and lag switching (dropping from all green bars to red bars as they rush at you) lag switching more for trials/ competitive pvp.
I completed my first flawless trials run last night 8 hours of buying new cards etc. and finished flawless at 3AM, I am in no way a great pvp player I would say I'm average have my good games and bad, so you can imagine my overwhelming excitement when I was on my way to the lighthouse for the first time, but for many that play trials a lot more than me and probably deserve flawless more than me encounter cheaters within the trials and it must be unbelievably frustrating.
Please let me know what you guys think should cheaters that stop others going flawless or in any competitive pvp games should be perm banned? Or just temporary ban for them to do the same again in a couple of months?
Please comment and bump this so bungie-vision can see what their community thinks!

If the world was sucka free, it just be me and my n/&&@z left.

Give their gt a cheater label I.e. "ThawingFungus (cheater)" that way if people notice somethings clearly not right while facing them they know why and can report, and if people decide to report them just because of label... Well, that's their own damn fault.
-
The destiny players still around are cheaters, so no because destiny will lose its players
-
Someone had a great idea in another thread to just make the cheaters matchmake with each other only.
-
No but they should have a permanent shader they makes them look dumb

Console ban. People won't do it if the punishment is more than a slap on the wrist.
-
Lag-switchers have to make a new account, get a new console, and buy Destiny again.
-
Console ban.

I think they should be permanently banned from crucible activities

Hey, I am moving this topic to the #Destiny forum. See Cozmo's thread here for more information about the #Destiny tag and its uses.

I have my console at up leaky right above where the wifi router is in my house, and my whole team was down to red in IB and ToO. But I was the only one who couldn't do any damage. Being right next to someone and unloading a clip of nothingness into someone is really frustrating

Yes they should
-
Unless there was an absolute guarantee that innocent people wouldn't be in the firing line for shit connections...Then no. Simply a timed ban would make them think twice and a system of naming and shaming for reference.
-
Yes cheaters should be banned they know they are doing wrong and should be punished for it but I would give them a warning(week ban) and if it happens again on another bungie game or the same they should be permanently banned. If this is consistent in other games they should be banned from Psn or Xbox live based on what they are playing.

Edited by Steam_Punk_Fox: 7/31/2015 3:00:44 PMMaybe Bungie should ban cheaters, but allow them in a different...I don't know parallel universe in Destiny? That way they can still play, but only against other cheaters. I mean if you were banned from a game that you really, really, REALLY liked, you would be ticked. You would slander that game forever(okay, maybe not forever, but you know what I mean)
-
Some times they accuse me of cheating because my wifi is wavering
-
They don't ban! :-)

No question about it, perma ban them all..
-
Yes, cheaters should be permabanned.

Edited by TannicMite7: 7/30/2015 9:03:04 PMYes doesn't matter what they do. As long as it can be proved (no wrongful bans).
