EDIT FOR ALL THE IDIOTS WHO COMMENT BEFORE THEY READ THE ACTUAL POST.
Phogoth. Gulrot. Ogres. I know. It's not what I mean when I say thrall boss.
Grow up, open your mind and get imaginative and creative.
Honestly, these guys aren't getting enough love. Hardest ones to kill are (maybe) on a nightfall and they're dying in 2 shots anyway.
Just this big ass thrall commander that's super hard to kill. Maybe one that's not savage and can talk.
What do you think?
Edit 1: I understand ogres are thralls that have been through modification, but you get my idea. No need to get technical.
Edit 2: suggestions: shank boss (walker?), harpy boss (gorgons?)
Keep 'em coming
ATTENTION PLEASE.
Mini dregs flying on shanks. Livinghacker.
That will be all.
Edit: explanation for peoplr who didn't already realise this:
For people saying Phogoth = ogre = thrall. You're trying to be clever but it's not working.
Yes Phogoth = Ogre but Ogre =/= Thrall
Ogre = Modified Thrall, not thrall.
If I modify some potatoes into fries and you ask for a potato would I hand you some fries? No? Then phogoth is not a thrall.
I'd like to see this. A vicious, fast boss that chases you around the map, likely forcing you to flee while your fireteam takes advantage of the distraction and hammers him. It'd be good to have a boss that's something other than find cover and poke out when it's not shooting you. For people saying Phogoth = ogre = thrall. You're trying to be clever but it's not working. Yes Phogoth = Ogre but Ogre =/= Thrall Ogre = Modified Thrall, not thrall. If I modify some potatoes into fries and you ask for a potato would I hand you some fries? No? Then phogoth is not a thrall.

Edited by Nightingale: 7/28/2015 2:28:02 PMMy idea: A gigantic Phogoth-sized Thrall with three glowing blue eyes that can fire three beams of pure Darkness that slows you down, drains your abilities, and depletes your health. It's claws are its main attack, however. It's claws are infused with Arc flames and will leave an Arc damage over time effect on you called Arc Hellfire. It also can stomp and send anything flying away from it. Its body would resemble that of a Cursed Thrall's body, except it would also look like Phogoth's. The name of this boss would be Xygon, The Infernal. Xygon would not be able to be harmed until three Witches that are keeping Xygon concealed and protected within a green shield, unable to escape and wreak havoc upon everything it saw, are killed. The three Witches have the health of Ir Yût and are each named and each control their own portion of the shield and spell that is keeping Xygon from doing anything. The first Witch is named Ir Yon, and she wields Solar instead of Arc, her Solar spells being twice as powerful as a regular Wizard's. The second Witch is named Ir Xor, and she wields Void instead of Arc. She has the ability to screech a lyric of Ir Yût's Ritual of Ruin, which drains your abilities and strengthens hers. She can be killed easily as when she screeches she is open to attacks and is weaker than a normal Wizard as she is pouring her energy into the Ritual of Ruin. The final Witch must be killed while Xygon is active and attacking you. The final Witch's name is Ir Det. Ir Det has the ability to force Xygon to look at one member of your fire team and use his eye attack, only his eye attack is stronger because of Ir Det enraging Xygon by controlling him. Once Ir Det is dead, Xygon is exposed and will roar into the air in rage for one minute, allowing your fire team to damage him as much as they can before the encounter begins. I think this should be a Raid Boss now. Edit: I will make the rest of the encounter in a little bit.

Those are Ogres
-
I would be happy if Randal the vandal had a random exotic drop once in a while
-
What about, a Thrall on a Dreg on a Spider Tank being controlled by a shank?
-
You have ogres.
-
While I understand what OP is saying here, you can't neglect what little story we have for your own theories lol. Ogres are Thrall, and yes I read the whole post; to say they aren't is silly and lashing out at those who disagree makes you look like a child. That being said, just give us a thrall that's halfway through the mutation process, and we could have one hell of a fight: thrall aggressiveness and claws with the power and eye attacks of an ogre that chases you around nonstop.

Edited by AnxiousOmar: 7/28/2015 3:58:36 PMEdit* phone messed up. How about just a large thrall, just over guardian size, who is completely invisible. There is a relic that is used like a gun, must aim down sights to use to spot the boss. You must then communicate to the others in your team where he is. Shooting the relic will make the thrall appear like a camo hunter for two seconds and must be recharged to be used again for 12 seconds but while aiming down sights you can always see him if lined up properly. Small, tight quarters. Maybe the size of a gladiator arena (on foot, not the chariot race type). The boss is fast, and if hit 3 times you will die. No health recovery. Maybe relic is just futuristic flashlight and the arena is almost pitch black. Would make for an awesome, terrifying experience. I imagine the predator 2 danny glover scene in the meat packing factory (think thats the right predator... And the right actor)
this is off the top of my head and nowhere close to polished so feel free to add, change, criticize whatever you think would make it a better encounter
-
That would be hard as shit to kill if it was fast
-
No. At least not until we get a giant shank, that drops large shanks, that drop big shanks, that drop regular shanks, that drop small shanks that drop tiny shanks, that drop micro shanks. We demand shankception!
-
Isn't phogath a thrall
-
He would run at you and try to slap you instead of wandering around in the middle like a dumbass. *cough* all other bosses *cough*
-
Ogres are giant thralls. So I believe phogoth , and the burping idiots are thrall.
-
Not as much as I want Randal the vandal to be a boss
-
Wtf is this
-
Thralls with bladedancer super
-
Phogoth the Huggable demands your presence. I think you may have hurt his feelings and broke his heart. He needs a hug from you.
-
Many people may not know it, but... Ogres are corrupted Thralls. So pretty much, we already do. If you compare the two, they actually have alot of similarities.
-
Na a giant shank. Shank burn!!
-
They have it it's called a Knight.
-
I want a boss shank so shank burn is actually relevant
-
I hate when people put the "see results" option in it just messes up the results without doing math to find out the real %
-
No because those are Ogres actully, ogres have the same anatomy thrall and are mutated thrall
-
Cursed Thrall boss. Send one teammate in, it exploded and kills the teammate, and you win.
-
A boss whose only intention is to run at you and slap you. That sure will change up the boss fight
-
Edited by AnonPig: 7/28/2015 2:39:18 PMThraxx, Thane of Oryx Let me double check that name, but we're getting something. Also in the Sony exclusive strike you get a Gorgon boss
