True but China and Japan have a major hatred of each other, like both accuse each other of war crimes and shit. Like it's pretty much impossible to get Japanese goods into mainland China so can see the ps struggling abit

Not at all. If the US can bomb two Japanese cities killing over 100,000 people in the process and leaving another 10,000's of people with radiation poison for years, and we have good trading talks, I'm sure they'll manage.

Only reason they have trade talks is because Japan admitted starting that conflict and have since taken a stance of pacifism. And America helped modernise and rebuild Japan after the war
