There is this little thing called 'precedent'. Don't know if you've ever heard of it. Us higher functioning human beings tend to look at prior cases or events and establish a hypothesis or conclusion based upon it. As we have observed, crossbows and bows tend to be pretty difficult to balance against firearms.
