Yes you did.....and?
People grinded for their gear in Wow, Diablo, and SWTOR but when the next expansion came out you still had to move on to the newest gear.
Just because you grinded for something does not mean you get to demand that it be useful forever and ever and ever. This is a 10 year game supposedly which means we are gonna see ALOT of stuff come and go. Just like in every other expansion based game out there you will have to move on to the latest and greatest.
TDB did it and HoW did it. Yes HoW gave you Etheric light, but you still had to put down your old gear in order to be able to do the endgame content in order to ascend your old gear. So even then you were forced to use new things.
Its how expansions work.

True but to your point those are mmos which destiny is not. The time between expansions for games like wow is a few years destiny has seen 2 in its first year with third marking year two. The rinse and repeat cycle for grinding for new gear is so much smaller that it renders aquiring new gear somewhat useless. Couple that with constant weapon nerfs/buffs and guns that weren't worth getting one expansion may be relevant in the next with limited vault space and no way to get old gear back players miss out.
-
Its not an MMO, but it IS an expansion based game. Just like they are and just like all expansion based games the idea is to move FORWARD
-
They grinded for weapons that increase their attack stat. We develop play styles by using these guns, play styles we like. They are asking us to get rid of something we have a niche for and for what? Most of the concept guns look like shit.
-
In your opinion they look like shit* As far as play style or whatever nothing is stopping you from finding a new scout rifle or hand cannon. Don't act as if Bungie is removing an entire weapon type from the game.
-
Except that the new weapons won't play the same.
-
And you know this because......?
-
I've seen gameplay
-
Oh you mean the very little gameplay that we have seen so far. Gameplay that has not included any of the new guns from the latest update or any of the new class weapons? Oh yeah. You are so -blam!-ing informed.
-
Yeah they showed the new guns:) omolon, Suros and Hakke

While I do agree with you, stop it, just stop it, this is not WoW, this is not Diablo, this is not SWOTR. stop using a retarded analogy, in all those games you can still collect old shit at any point you feel like it, Destiny is the only game that completely removes your ability to even gain the old items once a dlc pack hits.

Edited by Coyote_x_Starrk: 7/26/2015 5:45:20 AMSince when did they remove your ability to get items? And if you actually used some common sense you would see that its a perfectly fine comparison. WoW uses Expansions to move the game along rather than little DLC packs Diablo 3 used an expansion to move the game along rather than little DLC packs. SWTOR used expansions to move the game along rather than little DLC packs. Just like every other expansion based game out there that is what they did. And guess what?
Destiny does the same thing. Therefore its an expansion based game just like they are.

Edited because of hurt FeeFees :(

And you have half a brain cell in that thick skull
Good bye, come back with an argument that isn't childish and we can maybe talk. For now I'll just report you for offensive content.

Edited by Coyote_x_Starrk: 7/26/2015 5:49:22 AMThere I edited my post to better suit your sensitive nature. Although it is cute that you can't find any way to refute my point so you had to latch onto an insult in order to dodge having to admit that you are wrong. I accept your concession.
