First of I would like to thank Bungie for making in my mind one of the best games ever. I want to start out by saying this is a post about how a game changed my life and made me fight harder. So I was diagnosed type 2 diabetes in 08 and fast forward to a few years later it turned into diabetic neuropathy. Just google it to see its something you never want. Fast forward to 2014 where I was getting sick all the time went to many doctors could not find anything. Finally went to a specialist this year and that is where I found out that my liver is dying and I was told I have 2-7 years to live. Now I just had my second child this February on the 15th I also have a 6 year old son so imagine coming home telling my wife of 8 years this news you can imagine of that went. I was a fit person growing up and went to ASU for football and lived a good life did not drink no drugs etc. They do not know why this is happening but it is. Now to the reason why I am making this thread. I have had Destiny since day one plus bought the expansion all digital. I used to game everyday but ever since my health problems I really just quit all together. Just been spending a lot of time with my kids and just trying not to think about my health its too depressing. Moved from Cali to Wisconsin so my wife could be with her family but we gave it a month and it was just not for us. We lived in a town of 1600 people called Sharon Wisconsin so we moved back to Arizona where we are from originally. On the move back the company I used to move our stuff the two guys stole all my stuff so it made things as you can imagine really crappy. So just been dealing with all that was crazy and depressing things looked like they would never get better. Well my wife made a post on the Gears of War forums and that community has been amazing. They have raised 500 bucks plus a person who does not want his or her names donated me a ps4 plus a year of psn. So I got the ps4 download Destiny and was like well lets play this game since really nothing else to do to get my mind of things. From the start I was blown away by everything I mean this game is just amazing. I love everything about this game. I leveled a Titian to 20 and now I am about to level a hunter to 20 that's the two people I want to use. This game has brought back gaming to my life when I truly thought I would never play games again I was just that depressed. I love the fact you get exotic gear and weapons and you can do so much in this game and I have not even done any of the DLC yet. I just want to say thank you Bungie for making a game that has changed my life and made me feel like a person again and make me forget all that is bad in my life right now. One thing I want to do is stream again used to and did quite well for my self and since I am feeling good about gaming I might start that up again. I will leave links below for everything that is me. The reason why I wanted to share my story is I know there are many people going through life with there own struggles and just want you all to know there is hope for you in many forms. I found mine through gaming with Destiny. You might find the same never give up on yourself. Also wanted to say that this community has been very nice to me and I have met some nice people through this Reddit and just playing Destiny in general. Again thank you Bunige for making the best game I have ever played and I hope you continue to do great things with this game. I look forward to it.
