These Forums aren't a good place to get an answer for this kind of thing, just to let you know. Only about 20% of Destiny's active playerbase uses these forums and for the most part, about 18/20% of the forum-goers are toxic assholes who bash on Destiny and it's players despite them playing it themselves.
Anyway, for my answer - yes & no. I will still play Destiny even if TTK isn't all it's made out to be. But I probably don't buy any future content.
The Dark Below was a pretty large disappointment, and even Bungie admitted that - but Bungie definitely did a lot better with House of Wolves, they gave us fresh content, made things exciting in the beginning and it definitely was better - it just didn't have quite the content needed to be replayable for as long as even Dark Below was.
The Taken King, though. Bungie has had several interviews with several sources in which they openly admitted they even they know they could've done a lot better in a lot of areas with Destiny, and that they hear the Community (the Forum-goers) loud and clear when it comes to the things they screw up on. I personally feel like Taken King will do very well, and I do think it will attract a lot of the playerbase that is on vacation back.

Last paragraph made me laugh. They admit they dropped the ball but will still charge you out the ass for TTK? Fkn lol, when a company admits to f***ing up, they usually follow with free DLC to make things right....

Unfortunately, your statement is so incorrect I fail to see how people agree with you. $40 for The Taken King (a Major Expansion) is nothing new in the gaming market. Plenty of MMOs & Triple A titles have been charging $40 for expansions for going on ten years now. Plus, Destiny's regular expansions will still only cost $20. Bungie couldn't afford to make The Taken King free, unlike other online games where they charge subscription fees, Destiny does not. Because of this they rely on literally what expansions and copies of the games players buy to keep their servers alive. If Bungie doesn't get enough revenue to equal the cost of work to produce the content, then Activision would cut them off - and Destiny wouldn't have servers anymore, and no one could ever play it again.

First to dlc's were cut content. They didn't deserve the money we gave them.

Two* Also, this cannot be proven and has been debunked every single time it's been tried. It was not cut content, and apparently people like you fail to realize the truth about that, considering it's been debunked by several sources. You provide such an articulated argument.

It's called auto correct. Slow your roll desticle. If I cared enough, I would type out a huge response and guess what, nobody would read it either way....

Well said.
