SUPER UPDATE : Bungie on Twitter
"Bans for network manipulation are being issued in the Crucible. More details tomorrow in the Weekly Update."
+1 for the good guys !!!
Thank You Bungie
Thank you to everyone that bumped , liked , posted video footage and contributed positively to this post -
Make no mistake , It was You the player base that made this happen.
Sometimes if We make enough noise people have to listen
Over 2,000 views of the original video alone and hundreds of Your comments turned this spark into a raging inferno
Original post.
Myself and two friends have just played a Trials passage and have witnessesed the most blatant example of cheating in a PvP match I have ever seen.
Here is a link to the Youtube Video showing in detail the cheats at work.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiCPJk0wQf0
Similar to other topics I have seen posted on these forums and as evidenced in My video capture , At the start of the match the cheats were lagging all over the Widows court map unable to be damaged in ANY way despite our team firing multiple Supers , Grenades Knives etc at them.
At the end of the round at the ten second countdown the three cheats all moved to the capture zone , threw down a load of grenades ( I presume so we couldn't stand in the capture point and contest the zone ) and won the round by capturing the flag.
All three of the cheats were running universal remote and some POE gear with perks unsuitable for ToO.
Throughout the match we were unable to inflict ANY damage on these people whatsoever.
The only damage We saw the cheats take was when one of them injured himself with his own grenade.
I have heard the stories of Trials cheating but now I have witnessed it first hand.
In no way could this been considered lag or even just a bad connection.
This was deliberate planned and organised cheating , read on for 100% proof.
Annoyed at the blatancy of the cheating , after completing My Trials passage I checked the player profiles of all three players ....
What I found is shocking and damning.
The first has a 0.95 Crucible K/D.
He is not the most accomplished of player , yet in the last week he has a 27.00 K/D
The second has a 0.85 crucible K/D but "somehow" this week has managed a 53.00 K/D
The third player on the team has a sub 1.0 kd.
In the last week has a really outdone himself and achieved a whopping 66.00 K/D !!
Every single one of this teams trials matches tonight has been a victory - Mostly the other teams backed out after losing twice to zone captures.
We stayed to record the full game and footage.
All three of our team reported the cheats responsible using the In game reporting tool.
Here is a link to the game page on BUNGIE.net.
https://www.bungie.net/en/Legend/PGCR?instanceId=3091934229&characterId=2305843009293375396
As You can see We went 0 - 5.
We got no kills and all five rounds were ended with the enemy team capturing the zone.
I have recorded the footage and have uploaded to Youtube.
Bungie please look into this.
Edit 1 - It is important to note
All three players have a K/D below 1.0
however this week they managed ..
23.0 K/D
57.0 K/D
66.0 K/D
Not bad for three players that cannot even go positive in regular Crucible.
This team won every single ToO match on their passage without the other team EVER scoring a kill - Not one of them died EVER.
Every match they played resulted in either a 5 - 0 win for the cheats or the other team backing out when they realised they could do no damage and and The cheats were going to capture the end of round zone regardless.
Manipulating network traffic to gain an unfair advantage or disrupt the normal running of the PSN is in direct violation of both Bungie's and Playstation Networks ToS and code of conduct
Edit 2 - ThankYou to all the community that have voiced their support on this matter , much appreciated. hopefully Bungie will see this and do something about these parasites in PvP - please link to My Youtube video / this post to continue to raise awareness of this matter and get something done
Edit 3 - Since My original post more in game footage has been contributed by members of the community starring the cheats featured in My original video cheating using the exact same method. All the cheats featured are members of the same clan or group.
Below is a link to a second video capture showing quite clearly members of the same group cheating players out of yet another Trials victory .
Link

Here is yet another video featuring three different members of the exact SAME CLAN utilising the exact same exploit to cheat players out of a win
Link
http://youtu.be/b2nAebTSHpI
Edit 4 - ThankYou for the continued support of the community getting behind this one , Hopefully Bungie will take notice and take appropriate action against these REPEAT offenders.
My video has now found its way onto a website dedicated to exposing these kinds of players for exactly what they are - cheats
As per Bungie.net policy I will not post a direct link to the video. However it can be found here.
http://nameandshame.one
Edit 5 - This post is really gaining momentum now and is having a real snowball effect with many players coming forward and linking videos featuring these same players.
Special Thanks to those in the community that pointed out that many of these players are members of the same clan.
Since My original post the cheats have left the clan and retain only group status.
Having checked individual members of the groups recent game history I can confirm that almost all of the players that have participated in ToO within the last seven days are utilising the exact same cheat to win.
Once again Thank you to everyone that has voiced their continued support, liked or bumped this post and linked their own videos , it's fantastic to see this often divided community banding together against a common enemy
Please continue to link - bump and like this post to keep raising awareness amongst the community and hopefully bring it to Bungie's attention so they can swing the ban hammer in their direction !!
Edit 6 - They are still doing it less than 24 hours ago (27/07/15)
They have now used this exploit on all three of their characters since My original post.

Edit 7 - Another link to YET another video of these same cheats submitted by another member of the Destiny community.
https://youtu.be/YvmiW7BZh4M
Edit 8 - Yet another video submitted by another poster featuring Two of the cheats from My original video and another member of the same clan exploiting their way to another flawless Trials run

It looks like he is still playing inToO yesterday 8-1-15, and still cheating? I thought he got the ban-hammer. What gives? How has Bungie not included him in the recent series of bans. At least temporarily if nothing else. Sheesh bungie.

Edited by Incendio: 8/2/2015 2:32:27 AMMy group met this guy in trials last night. He was invincible and would wait for the control point to spawn, then super us or stand directly on the flag in the middle so we couldn't cap it. We tried pushing him off the flag, but it didn't work. We got lucky a few times as he managed to die by the exploding box in the middle or by his own super. Sad... just sad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAe7HFjTzDM

Edited by chaboikurtrussel: 7/28/2015 12:58:42 PMSo on Sunday, I played a lot of Trials. In two separate runs, I encountered something extremely similar to what OP encountered. The two instances were with 2 different teams, however, they all had French names and clans. They would either disappear completely from the map until the capture zone appeared or, even more blatantly, just sit on the capture point at the beginning of the round and stay there until the end. (Warning: both videos contain NSFW language) This video is from the first time I encountered it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FRS7QkCeSs This video is from the second time I encountered it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujEiJaSPia4 The first time, I was at 8 - 0. Luckily, I still had the mercy. But this is beyond "lagging." I never complain about stuff like that. I accept it and move on. This stuff is incredible though. Something needs to be done. It's just wasting everyone's time. Im lucky enough that my teammates and I are good enough to get 9 - 0 consistently, but I feel horrible for people who scratch and claw for every win only to experience this. It's going to make a hard game mode even harder for more casual players and they're just gonna stop playing Trials, which I certainly don't think Bungie wants.

I find it sad that people have to resort to this kind of behavior to win.

Not to be negative, but sadly I doubt this post or any other post had very little to do with the latest Twitter warning about upcoming bans. This most likely only happened due to the Bungie Bounty team being affected by it themselves, while it was being broadcast to millions of viewers. Typically game companies like this ignore these kinds of cries from players because if it works fine to them, there must not be an issue, in their eyes. COD went forever before they started even considering their lag/lag comp issues were even real. Their community managers would vehemently deny there was ever a problem for upwards of a year after a title's release and then at some point they go.. wait.. we found an inconsistency and we'll look to fix it, or some other BS. I just hope they actually do something but I doubt they will. Most of the lag that people report as cheating is most likely normal lag caused by conditions out of anyone's control. They won't ban people for that. There is most likely just a very small subset of players actually performing a type of manipulation that can be detectable (e.g. the ToO invincible point caps). They'll ban a few people... cheers will be heard... lag will continue to exist. IT NEVER GETS FIXED BY ANY GAMING DEVELOPER because it simply can't be fixed.
