I think the thing that made so many people require a fully upgraded gjallarhorn in LFG is that bungie removed the elementals from primary exotics. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not certain, in the beta days the suros had void, hard light arc, bad juju void and so on. And bungie made them kinetic. That's why there is no actual use for these exotic primaries in PVE- because there is a rocket launcher that had a burn (in this case, solar, but also truth void and dragon's breath solar). I believe if exotic primaries or even special weapons had burn, people wouldn't have used the gjallarhorn so much. We are limited and somewhat forced to use raid weapons that have burns (fatebringer anyone?) so we use the gjallarhorn because there is no alternative. Thoughts? Do you agree? Am I stupid? Why or why not?
