Hey Bungie,
Another plasma burn in post - is there a fix yet? (Or a vague timeline for one?)
I'm on a strict regimen of manually resizing my screen bounds, switching to menu and running static to combat the evils of image retention and uneven phosphor wear.
Hook up a temporary fix for the plasma users out there, then keep thinking about that slick, no compromise ideal fix I know you're looking for.

I think letting a white screen stay on for a couple hours will remove the burn, I used to have plasma I hated that black ops hud was burnt in my screen forever

While I feel for you he is correct, there is a reason plasmas have all but disappeared

Is it really that bad on those things? Skipped plazma. . Went from rear projection to LED myself lol
-
I hate to say this, but plasma TVs are bad for gaming because of the burn image thing. It has been like that for as long as I remember, its not bungie's fault(this time)

Yes, certain screens will suffer from burn-in, image retention. Other screens do not. I think we all know this. I certainly am aware that image retention and burn in is a possibility, but I, perhaps stubbornly, still think a fix is a reasonable thing to ask for. The last plasmas were probably sold in 2015, so, there's probably a non trivial segment of plasma players that might be accommodated with simple tweaks. Regardless of how 'ill reasoned' you think their decisions were.

Edited by StarGod: 7/23/2015 8:44:44 PMNever had a problem with my plasma and burn in... I have over 1200 hours played.
you need a better plasma tv
Turn down your brightness. That's the fix.

May as well reply here as well. I've been dealing with this all year too. I've never had burn-in for other games, only Destiny (potentially due to playtime). I'm now using a rather crappy computer monitor and switching HDMI every time I want to play the game.

Been playing on Plasma for years. Never have had a problem with burn. I even leave my games paused for long periods of time with no issues.
