I'd advise not playing for a week or two. Then coming back, the game does a mini reset and gives you what your missing if you have a crazy amount of game time

Worked for my m8, he had 2000 hours without ghorn, day one player etc. Had a two week break for the first time, he came back and got two ghorns back to back on nightfall.
