As a member of about 10 groups on Bungie.net, and a long-time user of the site, groups seem to have been stripped of the customization and tools that made them truly unique entities. Things like moderation tools (pinning, locking, and editting posts), member titles, and custom priviliges were an integral part of creating and running a community, whether you were a soldier in The Marty Army or an Invisible Pink Unicorn in Thee Warriors.
I think that with a return of these options, along with other things to really help pull groups away from the pack, we could see a more diverse group community, where it's worth joining more than one.
So, #Community, what do you wish we had for groups?

Everything already mentioned. And butt secks.

You pretty much covered it already, but I'd like to see these changes made. People need to re-learn to fear the moderators; remember, you have no rights.

You just about summed it up in the first paragraph.

Obviously all the features from B.old. Those were the defining features of groups back then. But also, more features for group walls. They need to have more purpose then a group wide PM. I want to be able to use them for other purposes that help support the group forum instead of suffocating it like it is doing right now.

Edited by Mechetti: 7/22/2015 2:40:07 PM
Groups: •Custom ranks •Admin Tools for private posts -Post Editting -Sticky threads -Thread locking •Custom Ban Lengths •Bans that don't kick members •Custom Group Avatars •Admin Tools on mobile •Added Group Customization
Groups haven't gotten stale, but only because the members somehow manage to spice them up. If Bungie returned groups to their former glory, it would satisfy a large portion of their original fan base. It would give groups even more life and vigor. Think of how many more communities would spawn out of it.
