This is just a little change up of the forums due to the whole weapon tuning thing.
Now I don't mean for this to break out into arguments ok guys I'm just generally curious as to how the rest of the destiny community judges other players without ever meeting or playing with them.
Me personally I look at grimoire score, only because it shows how dedicated someone is to completely maxing out the game.
But like I said no arguments, hey you might even learn something and improve your character so it impresses other people without even playing with them.
Edit 1: my bad for not explaining myself about the grimoire. I won't disallow anyone into my raid team, Poe team etc if their grimoire score is low however I will change my playstyle to be more serious. For example if a level 34 is in my raid team and they have 1000 grimoire score then I will change my playstyle to be more serious and more descriptive in my actions due to the fact they have not done said raid before. My bad for not explain that sorry.
Edit 2: I'm so glad with the outcome of this post. Almost no arguments and people talking nice to each other and giving their constructive feedback based on their "judgment system" it's been lovely reading all of your replies and even engaging in conversations with some of you. Nice to see we still have a lovely polite community of guardians after the whole ordeal lately, this will be my last edit for this post guys but I hope to see you all in the battlefield some day guardians :) happy killing

Not by the color of their shader. We are all equal
-
i judge them not on the color of their play style but by the color of their attitude towards others....
-
If they're chill AF then I keep them in the lobby
-
How do I judge them? By the color of their skin.
-
I don't judge...period!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I dont freaking judge. Easy. Try that.
-
grimiore and emblem
-
For his underpants
-
if they r in pt, Ill try to talk to them and ill judge them by the way they talk(nice and relaxed) I dont like to play with excited kids, that takes the game too serious, unless its competetive mode. if not in pt, then just look @ the way they play the game and he or she doesnt contribite much to the fire team, thats bye bye
-
By their behaviour/how they play
-
Typically, I can get an idea of what the person is like based on their Gamertag. If it's something like SchmeedWeed1993, I'll probably assume they're stoned and going to be a huge set back. Also, names such as: 1r0nm4n89, themastablasta, killerpro98, codkilla... I just instantly dislike people... It's not fair no, but that's just how it is.

By height.

I'm not gonna lie it makes me feel a little uncomfortable to know that all these people could be checking out my stuff. I don't think I ever inspect a player unless they are showing me something or if I see something I like and actually don't recognize it.
-
During trials its a combo of how entertaining they are and how good they are at killing without being killed
-
PvP: Grimoire and loadout PvE: Grimoire and if they ask "what's going on?"
-
Whether they are competent or not.
-
Bit of grimoire bit of their actual load out
-
Grimorie score but a big red light is their weapons especially when there's a burn on....
-
Play style and choices.

Typically, I match make the weekly heroic strikes. When I go in, I look at the other players to get a general idea of what to expect out of them, and how to play to cover their weaknesses. I guess I am judging them as I inspect them... I look at Grimoire/level first, then I look art weapon loadouts, then armor choice. Last, I look at their attribute setup. This alone can tell you a bit about the player. If they have a poor distribution of attributes, like 380 strength... Then they more than likely just have their highest light armor on, and don't have as much time in/experience to have developed an optimum allocation of attributes. In today's heroic strikes for example, most did not have maxed weapons, and I think only one out of 6 was using void weapons for void burn. Needless to say, I did 3 runs around 100 kills, with the next guy around 50 and the last around 25. When I inspect players during ToO, Grimoire can be misleading. As there are plenty of good PvP players with lower Grimoire, just as there are plenty of mediocre PvP players with high Grimoire. What is more important is weapon loadouts and armor choices. Also looking at their armor/recovery/agility distribution is also important. Especially if they have the ram.

Usually by kd and the weapons they are using, if the kd is above a .75 or so I will invite them to see if they are any good
-
I don't negatively judge, but acknowledge other high grimoire players
-
If they pick up a scorch cannon after the first wave, they're a noob. If they pick it up on the final wave or not at all, they're a decent person and a legit player who knows what they're doing.
-
By how good they play
-
Like everything in life. Solely by looks.

Grimoire and gamertag are usually pretty reliable indicators for a quick evaluation. If nothing else, get them on the mic and listen to them talk. Their attitude is more indicative of their skill than their in-game character.
