This is just a little change up of the forums due to the whole weapon tuning thing.
Now I don't mean for this to break out into arguments ok guys I'm just generally curious as to how the rest of the destiny community judges other players without ever meeting or playing with them.
Me personally I look at grimoire score, only because it shows how dedicated someone is to completely maxing out the game.
But like I said no arguments, hey you might even learn something and improve your character so it impresses other people without even playing with them.
Edit 1: my bad for not explaining myself about the grimoire. I won't disallow anyone into my raid team, Poe team etc if their grimoire score is low however I will change my playstyle to be more serious. For example if a level 34 is in my raid team and they have 1000 grimoire score then I will change my playstyle to be more serious and more descriptive in my actions due to the fact they have not done said raid before. My bad for not explain that sorry.
Edit 2: I'm so glad with the outcome of this post. Almost no arguments and people talking nice to each other and giving their constructive feedback based on their "judgment system" it's been lovely reading all of your replies and even engaging in conversations with some of you. Nice to see we still have a lovely polite community of guardians after the whole ordeal lately, this will be my last edit for this post guys but I hope to see you all in the battlefield some day guardians :) happy killing

They must have Animal Crossing New Leaf on the 3DS. 2DS works as well but 3DS is preferable. You must have the island and the biggest first floor room at minimum. These are requirements for my VoG team.

I don't judge. It's just a game.

Crucible stats are everything. PvE? Shooting bots all day. Not hard for the average organism. PvP is a whole different story. It requires skill to succeed in a meta that is dominated by two or three weapons and a heap of one shot kills, including snipers that are disguised as shotguns. Without getting too far into detail, I silently (or publicly, depending on what time I woke up) judge people based on crucible stats. This tells me how well they can adapt to an everychanging situation and mental capacity to problem solve and even improv.

What class they are.

I find that just talking to people is a good way 2 get a feel for their skill level communication is crazy important in this game I've done multiple runs on skolas with so so players and first timers and as long as everyone keeps calling things out or asking questions then it's a walk in the park every time same for raids strikes or whatever if ur tryna go army of 1 Rambo on everything no1 is gonna wanna play with u that being said if u start going all agro over a few wipes and yelling at people u might b sitting in orbit by ur damn self in a hurry tool

You know they suck when they have a celestial nighthawk on skirmish...

By actions and abilities they've shown, and competency shown for the game and it's mechanics. Being around average at best myself, I feel like I make a good middle ground from which to judge other players abilities. If they can best me, and there are no extenuating circumstances such as bad luck or poor timing, and I was giving my best, I will rate that player mentally as a rather high 7+/10. I'm more of a 5 or 6. On the flip side, if they can not seem to connect shots or simply can't seem to control their character effectively, then they receive a 3 or 4. 1 and 2 are reserved for only the most incompetent players, such as those who consistently fail due to their own actions, or lack thereof. I try to be fair, a person who gets lucky consistently might actually just appear to be that good of a player, other times people just have good games, or good days, and the opposite is also true. Taking these variables into account, and try to understand that sometimes I am wrong, and fully admit so, I find that a player such as Mtashed, KJHovey, TRIPLEwreck, or, can't believe I'm saying this, Shesmynerd, would scale 9 and 10, where as a player similar to my friend Hero, who is reckless and aggressive, scores about a 3. =) BEHOLD, THE JUDGEMENT-TRON-9000!!!! A.k.a meh brainz. =)

I don't. Grimoire, weapons, skill, etc. can all be improved. If they are a good person is all that matters.
-
Do you have Gjallarhorn? Yes/no Yes Do you rely on it like it's the second coming of Christ to save you? Yes - you suck
-
I don't actually I invite anyone on rng and it takes alot for me to kick someone
-
I try not to judge until after I've played an entire PvP match or am about halfway through pve content with them before I decide if they are a scrub or a confident player who can hold their own
-
Actually, I judge players by their gamertag first. If you have a stupid, inappropriate or potential offensive/awkward tag, I'm inviting you to join my raid team and I'm not asking to join yours. Unless I'm doing Hard mode, I don't care if you have a low grimoire score or only rare weapons.
-
I don't but smth that annoys me is that every time i am having a great game with no thorns, TLWs or blink shotgunnerd appears one of those ALWAYS using the osiris emblem... I have gone flawless 3 times with only red death and a sniper rifle without FR

I look at people load outs If you're running lucky Raspberry on Gunslinger you're an idiot
-
Pitch of their voice. Although I'll still give you a chance if you're young, but if you have to go eat dinner in the middle of a nightfall I'm out.
-
PVE: How long have you played? What level are you? How many raids have you completed? PVP: Have you completed the PVP segment of The Thorns Bounty? What is your PVP K.D? What is your best ToO run?
-
I don't
-
I dont
-
Maxed out raid weapons. Especially primaries.
-
By how annoying you are and if I play with you and I notice that you ate complete shit then I judge you
-
Attitude
-
i dont ever kick anyone based on performance or stats, i just leave.
-
K/D + A
-
I judge them via rumble stats. You really can't bs that. Rumble K/D is important to me because that determines to me that the player can stand on his/her own and take advantage when opportunity is given. I judge grimoire 2nd because it shows experience within the game.

When people chopping down trees don't leave the base of the tree until last, so that they can stand on it to get the rest. I can't believe people have made YouTube videos about this "minecraft tip". I thought it was obvious.

If In PvP or similar, I'll judge someone based off of their grimoire, and if they tea bag or not
